Re: Burg releases their 24 schedule: projecting the regular season.

with the returning talent I can’t see the Burg losing more than two reg season games. I think they are in the top two in region 19 and I think they beat Jackson this year. They have Ironton at home this year and that I see as a three point game either way. A very disappointing season if they lose mo...

Re: Lawrence, Scioto, Gallia, Jackson County League

Scioto County wants no part of Jackson Ironton or travel to Gallia.
Jackson, Ironton, Fairland, Gallia, Waverly makes more sense. I’m good with Portsmouth being the 6th member, but I’m not sure the administration wants to give up the OVC.

Region 19 belongs to Harvest Prep until someone beats them. Best Prep In the post season, and you will likely be region champ.

Re: Rio Grande Bringing Back Football

Jackson will be a great temporary home for Rio. But hopefully Rio gets a decent on-campus stadium built quick to get the program established. Could make them less of a commuter school for their students. Also hope Rio plans on investing real money into the stadium/practice facilities. Hard to get k...

Re: November 17, 2023 Harvest Prep 22 - 0 Wheelersburg

LOL. With all the recruiting Ironton and Burg does, These recruits can make a difference in games played against the OVC and SOC because these leagues are very weak overall besides 1 year wonders from maybe West, Waverly and Fairland, Gallia. But outside these two recruiting even more they will be ...

Whatever, you dog Ironton also—-keep pumping that ego bro!! great season for Wheelersburg. They got better each week. Of course when the SOC started, hard not to get better. Burg got a great draw and made the most of it. However, most that has seen all year knew this was a formality.HP should have ...

Re: SOC 2 Championship (8-1, 5-0) West @ (5-3, 5-0) Wheelersburg

Burg hitting on all cylinders now and they are ready for the post season. If they win and get to the 7 seed, they will have to go through HP again. If they lose they are most likely looking at another trip to Ironton in week 2. Either way, they are a better team now than when they played those teams...

Re: Ironton 2024

In 24, week 3 is a neutral site game with Ironton getting a percentage of ticket sales, week 4 would be the Ironton Classic vs. opponent to be named. Week 5 is a home game. Week 6 is open. Week 7 is home game and week 9 should be home game vs Gallia. Currently week 1,2,8,10 will be road games vs Bur...

Re: (7-1) Gallia Academy - (7-1) Ironton

When is the last time Gallia Academy beat Ironton? Just an honest question. Lot's of passion on both sides. 2018. 36-33 Gallia won. The game was at Ironton. Gallia finished 9-2 that season losing to Licking Valley in the first round of the playoffs. Ironton finished 6-5, losing to Johnstown 15-7 in...

I believe Pendleton is on record saying he doesn't care about aggressive play that leads to penalties. But "yOuRe jUsT jEaLoUs" because you don't slobber all over THE Arnton Fahtin' Tahgers. I miss when Ironton fans were quiet. Another program needs to give them a nice, long overdue humbl...

Re: September 29, 2023 Oak Hill - Wheelersburg

Pikeville (Ky.) has an open date this week and is looking for a game. Burg and Pikeville played during the COVID year. Would be a really good football game. This team can’t compete with pikeville. Would be another burg loss. Would finish 5-5 or 6-4. Worst season since? Pikeville lost to Raceland at...

 Convinced yet? 6th game if the season, and Burg O has made zero improvement since the first game. Here are the cold facts: - Game planning on O is consistently bad. Spread against HP does not work for Burg. O coaches need to quit forcing it!! - Burg O and coaches cannot solve the turnover fi...

Re: The BIG STAGE is KRYPTONITE for Fighting Tigers

Games are won and lost on the line of scrimmage. All the “big games” mentioned here, were lost on the line of scrimmage. Ironton may have had more talent in most of those games at “skilled” positions but not on the Line of scrimmage. If you go back to I great Ironton teams of the past, 78, 81,82,88...

I would say the issue is more with the other schools not having the same *recruiting* staff. Yeah. I'll say it. We're all aware of it. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 a solid program and good coach doesn’t need to recruit! Kids want to transfer and be part of the tradition! Yeah, I'm sure kids just magically wanted to go to ...

Re: WK3 Burg @ Jackson

Wheelersburg has given up 62 pts in 3 games. If Wheelersburg is going to win games I think the D wouldn’t be giving up 62 pts for a average of 21 pts a game given up. Head Coach isn’t on field playing either. Just going by you saying this is best Defense at Wheelersburg. How is these last three gam...
