Re: Vinton County Girls- U turn?
Between the Lines, You referred to kids playing AAU as "student Athletes." AAU is not school related therefore they are simply pay to play athletes and not student athletes. As a retired teacher, I am not going to buy your AAU sales pitch. As I stated earlier, I was talking about local AAU...

Re: Vinton County Girls- U turn?
Barlow,
I disagree with a lot you have to say but this time i have to agree. Local AAU teams are usually coached by dads or those who are trying to relive their own HS days. I think of the late higher is why Vinton County has the coach they have!

Re: Division IV Sectional at Meigs
Ironman, I wouldn't count on folks in the league helping Waterford out on votes because of the way their coach has treated them over the years (running the score up and pressing with 20-30 and even 40 point leads). Especially since the vote is not face to face. Is Waterford very good? Absolutely! So...

Re: Coaching openings
And hear Racine Southern was filled with a principal of the middle school. He's been trying to get it for years and the superintendent said principals couldn't coach. But after a board member whined about his freshman daughter not getting enough playing time, they forced the coach out after having t...

Re: 1st Annual Caldwell Redskins Christmas Classic
As a former English teacher I have to say it: It's not annual until it occurs for the second time. The first time it's inaugural lol. Even saw a local newspaper host a 1st Annual 5K. Sorry a pet peeve lol. However, looks like a great tournament. Best of luck to all!

Re: 2014 Hocking Division Predictions
Wow! You seem to be the one with a negative attitude. Maybe it's how you perceived it. You picked wrong person to argue about something so trivial. Therefore, I will not engage and simply list my OPINION of the placing in league this year: 1.Trimble 2, Wahama 3. Southern 4. Belpre 5, South Gallia 6,...

Re: 2014 Hocking Division Predictions
Wahama got Meig's best player, Federal Hocking's best player, and hear that Southern's line coach jumped ship to go to Wahama. However, their "new" coach has been at many schools and did not have much success. Trimble will be tough as usual and should win the league. Southern has some tale...

Re: 2014 Hocking Division Predictions
girvek,
How do you see Belpre winning the league? Looking over the past few years, the only beat like two teams with a winning record. And haven't had a winning record in several years. Just curious what you see?!

Re: Warren Job
Fortdawg, Devols first round (I think 23 years) at Caldwell he did not make it to the play offs. Prior to his second round at Caldwell, the coach at the time (Coffman I believe, he is also Fort Frye's head coach's brother in law and was defensive coordinator) made it to the playoffs for the first ti...

Re: Warren Job
Everyone knew that when Leffingwell left the football coach wouldn't be far behind because Leff hand picked him to make his son a star and now there is no one to protect him. Sad because Andy is a great guy, just didn't surround himself with the best assistants. Warren has great kids and a supportiv...
