1,000 Point Scorers from area Schools - All -Time

Just wondering how many 1,000 point scorers can be listed from your (or any area schools). Prefer years and amount if available. Chillicothe: Anthony Hitchens- 1,745. 2004-2008 Gordon Mickey - 1,241. 1955-58 Wayne Stevens - 1,161. 1952-55 Steve Bayless - 1,157 1983-87 Neil Johnston - 1,028. 1943-46 ...

Re: Career point totals

Anthony Hitchens is all-time leading scorer in Ross County for boys. I believe just over 1,700 points. Combined with his 4 year D1 points at Akron and James Madison, he surpassed 3,000 career points. Not bad for a kid many thought was to small to play at next level. Did Hitchens have more than Comb...

Re: 3/15/12 Regional Semi Chillicothe vs St.Clairesville

Can't disagree with anything that's been posted on this site so far. Chilly's height will definitely give the Red Devils some issues to deal with. This team has played well all year since their 2 early losses, and I think it's a much different team now then when they played Ironton in Athens. 3 of ...

Has been corrected. It originally said Regional Champs.

Re: Chillicothe making pitch to join SCOL

Chillicothe is going down hill so it is once again time to find a league they think they can take year in and year out. Three leagues in he last 10 years---now that sounds like a winner. Noreply66, You once again find a way to badmouth Chillicothe for no clear reason not sure if an ex girlfriend/wi...

Re: 3/15/12 Regional Semi Chillicothe vs St.Clairesville

Just saw video highlights of St. Cville in the district finals vs. E.Liverpool. They remind me of a Logan Elm. Not over athletic but they play great team basketball and understand everyone. I'll take my Cavs in this one by 10+. Go Cavs! Rabeanos12, You must have seen the video highlights in slow mo...

Re: Chillicothe making pitch to join SCOL

It shall be guaranteed that the success rate of a Varsity program is not tied to the success rate of 6th graders. However, if you don't teach them the technique, than you can correlate losing programs. Case in point at Miami Trace and Washington Courthouse. For the past two years I've seen one of th...

Re: 3/15/12 Regional Semi Chillicothe vs St.Clairesville

St Clairsville has more than Montesero. They have a few kids who can light it up also. Cavs will have their hands full. When preparation meets execution and heart meets effort, you have a chance in every game. When talent is combined with those others you have the makings of District Champions. Thes...

Re: Waverly vs New Philadelphia Regional Semifinal

I'm sure the Waverly staff has scouted New Philadelphia up and down, so there won't be any surprises. The word I hear is NP has no one to match up with Jake and Waverly would be considered the favorite in this one. Known opponents would be Zanesville who won by 6 and Marietta who fell to NP by 2 and...

Re: Chillicothe wins 5th District title in 6 years

The Cavs defeated the Circleville tigers tonight by a score of 65-30. Chillicothe will play St. Clairsville next thursday in the regionals. This is the 5th district title Chillicothe has won in 6 years. Very impressive tournament record since they are 10-0 in district play the last 6 years. I'm cur...

Smurray, Great win for the Tigers tonight. Outstanding support from the Waverly faithful. Welcome to the Sweet 16 dance where anything can happen. I told Jake, Derek and Harrison avfew years ago to not settle for just gettingbto the Districts. Well this years team knocks the door down. Let's represe...

Re: Chillicothe vs. Circleville District final

Watched both semifinal games on Wednesday, and I feel that Chillicothe will win the district championship with their defense........the Cavaliers have struggled offensively at times this year, but one constant in their play has been their defense.......it's the main reason they are 15-7. I just don...

Re: District Final 3/10: Lucasville Valley vs. Portsmouth

I have absolutely loved the defense that the Trojans have played thus far in the tournament........and that defense is the main reason that PHS has a 20-2 record........I expect to see PHS come at Valley really hard........the Indians have a lot of size, so Portsmouth must keep that size off the bo...

Just found out today that Wayne Evans needs just 6 points for 1,000, and Dion McKinley needs only 30 to reach that milestone.......it was previously reported that Wayne had passed the 1,000 mark, but that was not correct. That will be a great honor for these two young men. Hopefully the Trojans kee...

Re: Anthony "Humpty" Hitchens

How did he get to transfer without sitting out a year? I'll never forget the game winning play in the State finals and how well he played as a freshman in a game v. Pitt.He held his own against Levance Fields in that game. Anthony was given a transfer waiver by the NCAA due to the tragic and unfort...
