Jottings -

Are going to be posting stats again this season? If so, did I miss them from the Athens game?

Re: WK 2 (1-0) Logan @ Pickerington North

Logan needs to re-focus and prepare for a big game this Friday night. It'll be the Chiefs first road game and the first home game for the Panthers. Jairius Campbell, Alex Bayer, and Justin Young are legitimate D1 prospects, and the Panthers have always played solid, especially with Coach Tom Phillip...

Just saw the score was 26-20 Chiefs.

Great job to the young guys. Sounds like the depth is as advertised.

Re: WK 1 Lancaster @ Logan

what was the JV final score?

Shocking result. Our JVs got their behinds handed to them by Sheridan last week. Sounds like they rebounded very well.

Re: WK 1 Gallia Academy @ Athens

One thing is for certain, Athens is a much improved football team. In every sense of the word 'improved'. Their was excitement before the game during a tail-gate party outside Rutter field, the stands were somewhat full (for an Athens game) and had it not been for a dismal first half offensivly, th...

Re: Nominations for SEO players of the week for week 1

Patrick Angle, Logan

15 rushes, 119 yards

10 for 21 passing for 95 yards and 3 touchdowns

Plus several big stops on defense as well.

Over 200 yards of total offense that gave Logan their first win over Lancaster in 63 years.

Re: WK 1 Lancaster @ Logan

Nice Job Chiefs....Stadium is awesome. Not even sure I'm happy about it, It's more of an envious feeling (ha!). Angle was very impressive to me. Very impressive, threw incredible long balls even though they weren't brought in. Very impressive. Gotta give big props to Mr. Jentzen Rohr of the 'enemy'...

Congrats ZV -

Huge win for the Blue Devils. Considering what they were going through in regards to personel, to not only win, but kick butt, is a testament to your seniors and Coach Grandstaff.

Re: WK 1 Lancaster @ Logan

GREAT WIN TONIGHT! The Chieftain defense did an outstanding job, and the offense just kept making plays. Speed was the difference tonight on both sides of the football. From linemen to skill players, we were faster than the Gales and that made the difference IMO. First time the Chiefs have been 1-0 ...

Lancaster will still be atleast .500, and if Cheek gets healthy they'll be better than that. Coach Carpenter will rebound. The next two weeks the Gales should be able to "work out" the kinks.

Re: Logan Chieftains favored to win the SEOAL in 2008

D&C - 8-2 would be too close for comfort. We are one of the state's toughest regions as far as qualifying goes (regardless of division). DeSales, Watterson, Marion-Franklin, Dublin Scioto, New Albany, Canfield, Tri-Valley, Louisville, Uniontown-Lake, and Youngstown East are all absolutely legiti...

Re: Logan Chieftains favored to win the SEOAL in 2008

moon - I think, especially with the quarterback, it's going to be "platoon" starting, and there will be other players playing nearly equal minutes. I think you will find that he is the first defensive player subbed out in every game. Outside of Lancaster and maybe Pickerington North, I thi...

Re: Logan Chieftains favored to win the SEOAL in 2008

In terms of the SEOAL, I think the injuries will help us in the long run by developing depth. However, it makes the first few weeks all that much tougher when you are missing to senior tackles who are returning starters. But IF Logan gets those two back by week 4 or 5, the can be a pretty good footb...

Re: WK 1 Lancaster @ Logan

Drove out by the Swamp this morning, still have A LOT of road work to be completed. I hope they are not paving the road just for the game! If so what a waste of taxpayers money. If this is only a temporary fix, questions must be asked of the school board, odot and all involved. What a mess! This ga...

No offense Locos, but didnt you post this already. No matter though you do a great job. TC - I posted preview for all 10 teams in the spring, this is an update to reflect changes made during 2-a-days, etc. For instance, in the spring Tony Murphy was still a fullback, Geoff White a center, and Micha...

pleasantflyer -

My info came from Ironton fans who have emailed or PM'd me. I don't follow Ironton at the lower levels. For all I knew, Lewis was on the Ironton Freshman team last year, since he is a sophomore.

Don't shoot the messenger. I just pass along what I get from my sources.
