I don't think anyone said Waverly was a final four team.HamPorter wrote: Fri Apr 11, 2025 9:17 am Waverly is not a final four caliber team, unless they go to go 15 divisions
They don’t have the floor spacing, shooting, or defense to do so. If they did, they wouldn’t have lost 10 games in a row each of the last two years

Read where he took the boys job at Portsmouth Clay. He had a solid run at South Gallia in the past.

SV should be solid again. I think D6 is about a 5-6 horse race. As I previously mentioned, can they beat the East or Central rep, remains to be seen.

I think D6 in this area is really wide open, it will be just a matter if the rep can beat the Central/East rep.

Re: Open Jobs
How did he do at South Gallia I am generally asking because I don't know. 5 seasons. Won a couple of sectionals, reached a district final. Best season was 18-6. A couple of bad seasons as well, can’t leave those out, but just looking back it seems like he did fairly well. He did fairly well at Sout...

Re: 3/26/25 Notre Dame (2) vs Green (7)
I will not call them out, YET! That was the single WORSE officiating I have ever seen at a district basketball game. They called 1 ONE foul in the first half. The officials did fine. It is hard to officiate a game when neither team is very good. That might be the worst officiating you've seen at a ...

Re: Meigs County Boys Basketball
I'm not old enough to have been around during the heyday of the "Runnin' Tornadoes" from the early 1980s, but I was thinking that (please correct me if I am misinformed) this season is probably the best season for varsity boys basketball in Meigs County. Currently Meigs is sitting at 19-1...

Re: DISTRICT CHAMPIONSHIP Waverly (7) vs Unioto (2)
I didn’t stay for the 2nd game, but sometimes ball pressure can make it next to impossible to run “sets” especially if you’re getting bumped off your spot by a more physical opponent.

Re: Waverly Basketball - Head Coach
Just another sh@t show in HS sports. It’s almost everywhere If you have a fairly successful coach who’s been around for a while. Keep him ! Be careful what you wish for ! The last 2 Waverly coaches, left on their own. Robertson stepped away when his oldest son Trey graduated, and the recent coach s...
