Re: Bishop Hartley @ Wheelersburg

Yep but Hartley has to get through region 11 first. A lot of very good teams. Zanesville, Tri Valley, Granville, London, Hartley, and Eastmoor are very good Eastmoor is down. They graduated a lot. I expect them to lose the next three - against St Chucks, Granville, and Walnut Ridge. If they make th...

Re: Bishop Hartley @ Wheelersburg

Pure stupidity for who ever scheduled a school like hartley No. It's stones. The coaches and ADs should be praised for up-scheduling. Hartley nation has nothing but respect for Wheelersburg and coach Rob Woodward who consistently fields a strong physical team that doesn't back down from anyone. I l...

Re: School Football Program Prices, How Much At Your School?

At Bishop Hartley, our programs are free. Single pager of the roster. Most people don't even grab one.

Re: The future of grass fields

Maybe. But even then it is a minimal advantage at best in preventing injury. Players get injured on fieldturf too, football is not a game where you can eliminate injuries. I was talking about reducing, not eliminating. What gets me is that people don't understand the value. Spend that same money on...

Re: The future of grass fields

It tells me something when someone honestly believes that getting a turf field makes their team better at football. You can worship turf all you want, but it won't get you more wins or into the playoffs. Do player injuries hamper a teams ability to win games and make the playoffs? I would assert th...

Re: Who is it from your team?

Bishop Hartley - sophomore defensive lineman Daniel Tooson. Absolute beast. Big. Strong. Fast. The kid is going to be all-state.

It’s my understanding he was in the end zone on Madison’s sideline He wasn’t close to the team or coaches Excuse me sir, but you're going to have to drop trou because I can see clearly that you're either really excited about the Wheelersburg win or else you have a parabolic microphone in your britc...

Re: Region 11 Finals: Eastmoor Academy vs. Sheridan

I mean... Hartley does have fewer kids per square mile than Eastmoor does. Eastmoor draws from the entire city of Columbus. It's not a neighborhood school. It's an alternative high school. It's the designated STEM alternative high school for Columbus. It's boundaries are the entire Columbus City Sc...

Re: Region 7 Finals: Massillon vs. Wadsworth

Massillon has peaked. They struggled against two city schools and won on raw talent. They're done. They're going to beat themselves. Wadsworth will be there to help the process along.

Re: What makes some schools good every year and some not so good every year

100% coaching. Hartley had the same kinds of players then as they do now from 1980-2008 with only one championship to show for it. That coach is in the high school coaches hall of fame.

Re: Reg 27: #3. Trimble vs #2. Harvest Prep

They are like Hartley and Desales that have no community or generations that go there. Don't know anything about Harvest Prep, but Hartley has plenty of legacy families. Other than a handful of kids bailing out of Columbus City schools to get a decent academic and moral education, they're all from ...

Well if you don't have any team to root for, at least you still had some teams to root against. Six more privates remaining though. Looking forward to the annual ticket price rant.
