Re: SEOAL would be celebrating its 100th anniversary this year if it still existed
Given playoff success is now the gold standard of an athletic program's prowess, are conferences obsolete other than a scheduling tool? Is Ohio going to district play and scheduling inevitable ? The SEOAL in its final five years managed to make the scheduling convenience obsolete when it stubbornly...

Re: Trimble v NY 2025
I think they are keeping golf. Football, volleyball, basketball and golf will be the 4 sports offered. Wrestling might come back like you said to bring the total to 5. Where is anyone seeing that trimble eliminated spring sports?? I know there baseball coach isn't going anywhere . I heard they're n...

Re: The blog over 130,000 views
What I wonder too. Not sure anyone cares how many views a blog has, but the OP must be needing some attention. The only one whining is him, about having to post interviews on one thread LOL

Re: Are consolidations the answer?
I think there are a few schools that should consolidate in SEO. It is a lot better in the long run. Look at VC for example...what good would it be having 5 small DVI schools in the same county...? Getting more kids in one place is whats best for both athletics and academics. No one should be agains...

Re: South Gallia and the TVC
Bumped this as I’m hear rumblings of a return of the Rebels to the TVC. The powers now believe they can compete now and could actually win a championship now that the conference is way down in several sports. Thoughts?

Re: Gallia HC out?
Dalton Jarrell is his name. Hes been a varsity assitant coach for several years now while also coaching ELKS League 3 & 4 th graders. you all are embarrassing. Thank you sir for the information. You did what no one else would do, including those who claim to be supporting him. Congrats coach Ja...

Re: Gallia HC out?
If there is anyone who knows his actual name they are refusing to post it on here. Therefore, I am left to speculate. My best guess based on what I’ve seen and heard is: Name- Dalton Jarrell Plumber Coaching experience- 2nd grade football Other experience- He might have experience as a plumber, carp...

Re: Gallia HC out?
It is my sincere hope that Coach Jarrell is able to build a winner in the Old French City. Until the season begins no one really knows, now do they? I’d just like to know what the he11 the guys name is that they hired. So far I’ve heard the following: Dalton Jarrell Plumber Carpenter Captain Peewee...

Re: Gallia HC out?
It’s interesting to me that no one will give the name of the new coach on here. Are you all that ashamed? Or have you been sworn to secrecy? Also, no one seems too sure about his coaching experience, other than he coached at the lower peewee level. So, I’ll ask again, what is the new coach’s name an...

Re: Gallia HC out?
Give this guy a chance. Gallia had some nice looking skill guys to start the season but injuries bit them like a piranha feeding frenzy. Young team that needs a steady coaching presence to develop. Hopefully this cat stays a while and the kids take to him. Too much tradition at GA to keep running c...

Re: Meigs County Boys Basketball
It was the perfect storm this year for those three teams to improve while the rest of the TVC is as bad as I’ve seen it in years. Hopefully they all can represent well in the tournament.

Re: Names of high school courts/gymnasiums
Is there a better resume than Norms at Chesapeake and Oak Hill? I seriously doubt any coach in the area can make the claim that they coached a program to 500+ wins at one school, and a state championship at the other. Yeah that Oak Hill team was pretty good. Were any of the players actually from Oa...

Re: Read!
Same thing that’s been said the last 6-7 years. A lot of young or new officials I’ve seen. Officials and fans have been fine in every game I’ve watched this season. I think this is overblown. The same guy posts the same thing every year, and yet he’s still officiating. I agree with you that things ...

Re: Names of high school courts/gymnasiums
“Howie’s Nest” in Reedsville and “The Howie Dome” in Glouster. I believe both have been officially named and he has been the most successful coach at both schools and it’s not even close. Is Howie the only coach to have gym’s at two different schools named after him? Is there a better resume than N...

Re: Athens Scores 100!!!
Mr. Rubble- I also had heard the rumours that this could be the last dance, but I wanted Coach K to make it public on his terms. I was glad to witness them cut down the nets as the Outright TVC-Ohio champions. I wish FanDuel would allow me to bet against your tournament prediction for the Lady Dogs...

And got boat raced against Warren. Not to mention they cheated Marietta out of the gym to beat them. But yeah, they won the lowly TVC. Congrats. Good luck in the tournament.

Re: Gallia HC out?
I just don't understand why everyone has to hate on coaches say they are terrible etc. So what some are good some are bad some better than others. Just because they can coach or not coach doesn't make them a good or bad person. They have families etc just leave them alone and mind your own business...
