Re: G.O.W. WK9 Ironton @ Gallia Academy (OVC Chip)

From the film I've seen on Gallia, I'd say Ashland, Russell, and Wheelersburg are the best teams Ironton have faced this year, in that order. Gallia will come in at #4. Gallia is well coached and has a couple of really good athletes but they won't be enough.

Re: Week 2 - Russell, KY (1-0) at Ironton (1-0)

Russell is better than many believe and I hope our youngsters don't take them lightly. That said, I'll take the Fighting Tigers in this one...28-10.

Re: JACKSON vs IRONTON scrimmage 8/23

I just realized, no-1 is mentioning Reid Carrico, The highly recruited Junior from Ironton. He was getting a lot of forum chatter prior to this scrimmage. Junior Jones, kinda emerged as the Fighting Tiger folks brought up. Reid didn’t see the field in the OVC jamboree. How Did he play in the scrimm...

Re: JACKSON vs IRONTON scrimmage 8/23

Ironton needs to find about 2 more receivers who will catch the football. Way too many great throws dropped tonight and it’s not getting any better. Other than the bad drops, the Tigers looked for real. Junior Jones was a man amongst young men tonight. Good luck blocking that front 3 this year.

Re: Class of 2023

That’s a good looking bunch, Carpenter scored the TD in the OVC previews didn’t he? He had some good throws too that should have been caught. Yes, Carpenter scored the TD on a QB sneak. He had several dropped balls last night and had a great throw where a WR ran the wrong route and interfered with ...

Re: Class of 2023

Yes, same group. Burg scored with about 2 minutes to go to beat Ironton 12-8. Both schools had very talented, hard nosed kids who play the game the way it’s supposed to be played. Valley’s 8th grade was good as well but I wouldn’t put them on Burg or Ironton’s level.

Carpenter #44, Carter #28, Barnes #30, and Wilson #24 all have bright futures from Ironton's 2023 class. That’s a good looking bunch, Carpenter scored the TD in the OVC previews didn’t he? Re: 2019 Ironton Tigers Outlook

I believe that a full house backfield would consist of Carrico, Fosson, and Jones with Deere giving Carrico a breather when needed.

Ironton. Your 8th grade next year will be nasty, your 7th just couldn’t play with our 8th. It was a big difference in speed.

Re: Jr. High Rankings

This game won't be close. Again, I watched Gallia play Peake and Rock Hill. Ironton is on a completely different level from Gallia. This one will be over in a hurry.
