Mid State League Buckeye

Should be a good dose of basketball in the MSL-Buckeye this season. Who will reign supreme when its all said and done? Logan Elm- Tanner Holbert will be the key scorer and the Braves should be solid and Coach Stiverson whos in his 24th season, always gets the best from his kids Bloom- How good will ...

Re: TVC 2023 LEAGUE PROJECTIONS

Meigs has enough talent and size to win the league. When I was an assistant there with Baer and Cleland and few other players, we had enough talent to win the league but lost some key games with big leads. At Athens with a 23 point lead at half only to lose, still haunts me. I think the Marauders h...

Re: 2022 Logan Boys Basketball

His name is Jake Burke. ;) See my note I wrote in an edit after you responded. One thing I will add is he has a decent amount of varsity minutes against not-terrible competition. With him he kind of got thrust into an ‘Everyman’ role across the 2, 3, 4, 5 spots and most of the offense would have to...

Re: 2022 Logan Boys Basketball

Chiefs should have some good size up front. Alford 6-5 Pierce 6-4 Jackson Stimmell 6-3 Did hear the kid from Fisher Catholic will help Logan for sure. Other names who COULD BE in the mix for playing spots: Sawyer Magdich Jr Trevor Atkins Jr Max Black Sr (out with an injury for now) Hunter Hill Jr Ay...

Re: 2022 Logan Boys Basketball

Saying you have a great schedule has nothing to do with the ability of your team. Compare Logan's schedule to the good D1 teams in the Central District. It is not close strength wise to what you are competing against come tournament time. Not once did I say it was a "GREAT SCHEDULE." I sa...

Re: Zanesville 0 - 39 Logan 2022

Logan was 1 point from being 5-5 and a few plays vs Teays Valley from being 6-4. The Senior class really should be applauded as well as the staff. I questioned the offense a few times admittedly this season, but in the end the kids bought in and seemed to be running it very well. Interesting to see ...

Re: D2 District/Regional

Is the Convo going to host this year or are they moving games to High schools again?? I was told last year that reps from OU didnt want to be involved any more with scheduling conflicts and other items. Any truth to this or knowledge?

Re: WK10 Zanesville - Logan

Zanesville will host Logan, losing 4 in a row. They are 3-6 on the year and their wins are against teams with a combined 7-20. Logan and Zanesville have 1 common opponent, Fort Frye and the Devils lost 40-27. Their defense is giving up 46 ppg over the last 4 games and the offense is avg 10.2 ppg ov...

Re: 2022 Logan Boys Basketball

Tough schedule? There are (11) D2 teams on the schedule. For a D1 school, that is not a difficult schedule. Ha well when you lose 80% of your scoring from last year and only 1 starter and maybe 1 other kid with any varsity experience; and that schedule; I would say its daunting to say the least. An...

Re: 2022 Logan Boys Basketball

Gotcha. Fisher’s best player transferred to Logan for his senior year over the summer, but I hadn’t heard if he was playing sports or not. He could be a useful guy coming off the bench if he was hooping there. I heard again last weekend that this kid was in fact playing basketball although not much...

Re: WK9 Fort Frye (7-1) @ Logan (3-5)

LAST WEEK Sophomore QB Clayton Miller led the way for the Cadets as the sophomore signal-caller completed 7-of-11 pass attempts for 123 yards and the touchdown last week vs Caldwell. The Cadets were down 14-7 at one point before winning 44-7. Powell led the Cadets in rushing with 10 carries for 72-y...

Re: WK8 Buckeye Valley - Logan

The Buckeye Valley football team had a first quarter to forget, but it was relatively smooth sailing from there as the Barons stayed perfect in MSL-Ohio play with a 23-6 win over visiting Grandview Heights Friday night in Delaware. Neither team took care of the ball early on as they combined for thr...

Re: Columbus St. Charles 20 - 21 Logan 2022, and Previews

Biggest win in the Eddy era for sure. Beating a team in the same region as well; always positive for the program. I have said this from week 1; these kids play hard and have passion for the game. All i heard all week from the media up here was the kid from St Charles going to Pitt and their big offe...
