Someone help me on this one. Several years ago Wellson played at N-Y. I think the score was something like 54-53, withn N-Y scoring real late on a long pass. That game was in 2000 I believe. Nelsonville won 47-46 over the Rockets. Brad Young scored all 46 of Wellston's points with 7 TDs and two 2-p...

In fairness this is a different AD and if you read the second half of the article you can see that he whent and asked his coaches what they thought. Most likely the travel didn't sound to bad at first but then the student atheletes probably got tired of it. Every one acts like its personal. Its not...

I'm sorry, but all of these reasons for leaving should have been evaluated before Zanesville joined the league. It's not like you can't know beforehand whether kids wouldn't like riding on a bus for 3 hours. You also could expect that you wouldn't have huge crowds when you play a team that's 2 or 3 ...

I've been watching Jackson football very closely for over 15 years now and I can say without a doubt, Waverly always brings their "A" game against the Ironmen. Even when Jackson had some of its very best football teams in the mid 1990s, they struggled to beat Waverly. There have been years...

Just wanted to clarify what observer posted. I was discussing why Jackson's numbers are down with bronc21 last night, so I wanted to explain. Jackson did lose Ryan Borden and Kyle Ondera to Oak Hill in the off-season. Patrick Dill and his family also moved away. That's why Jackson's roster only star...

Army, I don't think Chillicothe needs to worry about the SEOAL going down to 4 teams. If that would happen, then I wouldn't blame them for looking at other options. I just don't see it though. Also, it's nice to see that you're not including that "South Championship" as an SEOAL Championsh...

Army, Yes, Jackson is a charter member. Yes, I don't personally see them leaving. However, I haven't said that it's not a possibility. I don't know how many times I have to say that before you actually understand it. I'm not gonna play the "what if" game regarding Warren, Marietta, or Iron...

Army, I have never said that Jackson has not looked at other possibilities. I also have never said that Jackson will always be in the SEOAL. I have simply said that they have been a member of the SEOAL since its creation and they haven't left yet. I honestly don't see them leaving, either. That does...

Army, Can you ever make a post without saying something derogatory about Jackson? I'm glad that you know every move that the Jackson administration has(or hasn't) made since 1984. Maybe they should hire you to go around campaigning so that another league would invite them. I can't say that Jackson w...

I know of one that quit recently...not sure about the other. Don't really know for sure what the circumstances were. The Ironmen are definitely undermanned. I know that a lot of times teams will only play 7 or 8 players extensively, but it would be nice to have enough players to give your guys a sho...

bronc21,

Yes, according to the school website, Jackson has only 7 varsity players right now. I think the Ironmen started the season with at least 9, but that number has gone down to only 7 as of right now.

104 points and the starters didn't even play the 4th? Wow, that is quite an impressive performance by the Cavs. Looks like they're headed into Friday's battle against Zanesville with a lot of momentum. The Ironmen need to keep their heads up. Things will get better as long as they keep working hard.

Hard for me to choose just one also. This is one of my favorites though. 2004 Division II - Region 8 Quarterfinals - Jackson vs. Cincinnati Withrow Jackson entered this game at 8-2 and the #8 seed in Region 8. The Ironmen had suffered two losses during the season, both by one point, but still squeak...

Jackson's Cody Huff is one that I would throw out there. Huff averaged over 8 yards per carry last year for the Ironmen, rushing for a total of 871 yards and 8 TDs. He also had a TD reception. I see Cody having a big year for the Ironmen in 2008. He'll get many more carries with the departure of Jac...

I disagree. I don't think GAHS wants to go anywhere. It's true that their numbers are decreasing, but they compete very well in the current SEOAL. A move to the TVC isn't something I see them doing.

Other than football (at this time) Warren is just about always in the top three of any sport they play in the SEOAL. Just can't see them in this league. I completely agree with no reply. Football isn't the only sport. Warren does extremely well in the SEOAL as a whole and their football program is ...

Army, I did see the threads about the Jackson-Wellston game. The point is that they have nothing to do with this thread. Why you decided to bring them up is what I don't understand. You keep telling everyone to move on, but you're the one who dwells on it. Whatever though. Good luck to both teams. I...

Also, what in the world does last football season have to do with this basketball game? The only trend I see developing is you getting more annoying by the day. You've been goin...
