I don't understand what the point of this is. It's almost like some people are rooting for the SEOAL to completely disband. Hopefully nobody else leaves the league in the near future. Until something actually happens, why don't we just stop speculating and starting rumors that can't really be substa...

ZV, To be fair, you told 10mike and I that the things we were hearing about Zanesville were rumors and nothing more. You said that the talk about Zanesville possibly leaving was not FACT. Turns out, all the talk about Zanesville leaving was indeed, FACT. I believe that's what qualified 101 is proba...

ZV, I never called you a liar. I just said that you told 10mike and I that we were incorrect. You said that what we had heard was not FACT but RUMOR. That fact is, Zanesville didn't make this decision overnight. They had been discussing their options and 10mike and I weren't off the mark. That's all...

Army, You started your usually Jackson bashing when you told gahs4ever and I that we were wrong about Jackson's stay in the SEOAL. Out of nowhere, you brought up something about the 1980s when Jackson was looking into joining another league. I don't know the reasoning behind them doing that, but the...

Army,

I didn't take anything the wrong way. I responded to what you wrote. You said that it wasn't true that Jackson has always been and will always be a member of the SEOAL. At this time, it IS true. I told you to come and talk to me if they DID leave in the future.

Army,

Last time I checked, Jackson has been a continuous member of the SEOAL since its creation. IF they ever leave, then come and talk to me.

I don't think anyone was using a crystal ball...just common sense. In my opinion, you don't expand(or overexpand) just to do it. You do it in the hope that you can create a more competitve league. When you expand, you expect those schools that vote "yes" to stick with the league(Athens). Y...

2old, I agree with you about Athens. I doubt if anyone would have predicted for that to happen the way it did. I would have thought that one of the Washington County schools would have left before Athens, but that doesn't matter now. Marietta and Warren are sticking with it right now. As you said, I...

no reply, Zanesville is doing what they feel is best for their athletic program. However, if Jim Reynolds could look down the road and see possible problems that could arise, why couldn't anyone else? Zanesville realized that there would be LONG road trips involved in this league and gas wasn't what...

If Trevor can get an Ivy League education and play football at the D1-AA level, then that really seems like the best option to me. It sounds like Mr. Walls is as talented in the classroom as he is on the football field. Congrats to him on a great career at Waverly and best of luck in the future.

Well, you can't say that we didn't see this coming. Despite the statements saying that Zanesville is committed to the SEOAL, it is apparent that they have been looking to get out for quite a while now. All those "rumors" were exactly what we thought they were. I can't blame Zanesville thou...

What the Humphreys family has done for Jackson athletics will NOT be forgotten, at least by this guy. As I have said many times, Jared Humphreys is quite possibly the best athlete to EVER come through Jackson High School. Watching him play football, basketball, and baseball were some of my favorite ...

I guess I must have missed the sarcasm as well. So just to clarify. Do you really think that Layton, Phillips, Rinehart, Blankenship, and Humphreys aren't missed by the Jackson football program whatsoever? I wonder how much the 2-10 Jackson basketball team misses Ryan Borden and Kyle Ondera. How abo...

Looks like a bunch of Vinton County people taking shots at Jackson to me on the basketball forum. Again, I don't know if Snider did his job well or not. My problem is with the administration. It would have been a great hire if Snider planned to stick around, but he didn't. Last time I checked, Randy...

boogered, I'm not quite sure what "people" you're talking about. I think I saw one negative comment on this thread directed at Snider himself. Maybe that's what you're referring to. My post was about the Jackson administration choosing Snider without thinking things through. He obviously h...

Wow. Jackson High School to Georgia Tech. I'd say that's definitely a move up for Snider. I think Conroy would actually be a possibility. He stepped down as coach at Miami Trace to take some time away from the game. He already holds an administrative job at MT and would be a very qualified candidate...

I'll take your word for it. Sometimes it's hard to distinguish whether a school is "actively" seeking out other options. There are so many conversations in person, and on this board, about different possibilities that some things that aren't "facts" are actually taken as such. We...
