Re: Since when is 4-1 an insurmountable lead?
4-1, late in game. Team A is ahead and gets first two runners on and to second and third with zero outs. Team A has not hit ball well all day. Team A executes a successful squeeze with the #7 hitter, then repeats success with #8 hitter to make it a 6-1 score with the two insurance runs. After the ga...

Since when is 4-1 an insurmountable lead?
Is it "unethical" or bush league to get insurance runs in a 4-1 game in the 6th inning by using "the old squeeze play"? I could see if it were a 9 or 10 run game, but a 3 run game?

I’m still confused, Pantherfan, how does the visiting team make the call to cancel a game, over a half hour away, when they haven’t seen the field?

Apparently so. SOC needed to step up to the plate on this one and didn’t. Shame on them for letting such a precedent to be set. Schedules be damned. Burn up your #1 and # 2 pitchers already.....just refuse to play.

Re: New Boston Glenwood Tigers 2020-2021
So New Boston cancelled at the request of St Joe, is that correct? 100% erroneous. Some of Lawrence County roads being bad is the only thing Coach Cox said that was true. New Boston’s higher ups cancelled this game, I believe at someone’s request, and it not being St. Joe. Why would some obscure co...

Re: CONGRATS to Valley & Burg!!!!
Yea not so fast volleyball lover. If you’re on here trying to stir up an already vastly fingered pot of unknowns then take it elsewhere. If this were to happen I can guarantee one thing and that is that St. Joe would answer the call. The diocese of the Midwest would definitely step in and probably ...

Re: Soccer Officials
Accountability is also become an issue. Referees are accountable to no one. They can make any calls they want without recourse. Not necessarily true. They are accountable to the ones that hire them and the ones that grade/rate them. If someone does a poor job, they won't get hired back or assigned,...

Isn't there an OHSAA rule about schools having at least two sports in each season (fall, winter and spring)? What sports do Glenwood participate in for the spring?

Re: D IV District Final: Peebles vs St. Joe
Why would St. Joe be the underdog vs. Symmes Valley? They definitely weren't the underdog against Valley... St. Joe was the #5 seed, Valley was the #12. I would say they were the underdog against Fed Hock though and pulled out a great victory.. I'm happy for them and the community, I know this mome...

Re: D IV District Final: Peebles vs St. Joe
ISJ will again be the underdog as they were against Symmes Valley(SJ won), as they were against Valley(SJ won) and as they were against FH(SJ won). Peebles seem to be the real deal but the Flyers again will show up and play their guts out like they have all year. As far as David vs Goliath we all k...

I do agree with BWH and flyingdutchman, neither team has much to gain by a series between the two. The foundation game is enough.

Re: Ironton v Ironton St. Joseph
SJ and Ironton usually play an exhibition every year, the foundation game. It was cancelled this year due to the football team’s run in the playoffs.
