Re: Portsmouth Lady Trojans 2024-25

That team yesterday was really good. Trojans had a lot of trouble with their defense. They couldn’t get inside at all. But that will help them in the tournament. I don’t think the woods girls scored a point and she is one of the best kids on the team. Nothing wrong with a close loss to a division 1 ...

Re: Portsmouth Lady Trojans 2024-25

I went and watched the game in person. Lady Trojans started the game up 11-0. 2nd quarter was a slow one for the Trojans but went to halftime up 3 I think. Fairland came back and took a 2 point lead in the 3rd. A fun game to watch and glad I went. Great crowd and they were pretty loud for both teams...

The girls are for real. But I know it’s coming so who didn’t play for fairland? Anytime Trojans win someone didn’t play

Re: Portsmouth Lady Trojans vs. Portsmouth West Lady Senators in D3 Logan Regional Semifinal

Portsmouth did not shoot well the first half but the defense was unreal. 2nd half they starting hitting shots and pulled away. Number 30 is a beast on defense she must of had 6 or 7 blocks.

So crazy that 2 teams just a few miles apart are going to Logan to play a game. But I guess that’s the fun part as well, traveling to places you rarely see to play.

Re: Portsmouth Head Coach Gene Collins stepping down

We talk about wins and losses but he done so much for the kids and the team. I was told he raised the money for them to go to Florida, visit Disney among other things. Provides food and feeds the team. I’m not sure there’s many coaches out there that will do all of that.

This day and age it needs to be mandatory. Guns at schools are becoming more common. And the state should fund them somehow.

Re: FRIDAY 2/17 GAMES

Not sure what happened but everyone leaving was the correct thing to do. A kid doesn’t bring a gun to a school unless he has thoughts of doing something. I’m glad no one was hurt. It takes a millisecond to pull a trigger, whoever it is I hope they are caught and receive max punishment.

Did the Trojans girls only have 8 players at the preview? Is that all they have?

I like that idea and get 1 or 2 more non conference games in a year.

Re: SOVC

I don’t see rock hill, south point, coal grove, Chesapeake or fairland wanting to merge. Non of those teams can touch wheelersburg, I’d go on a long by and say waverly as well. I’m curious what goes down this week.

Roster was cut from 28 to 26. Doesn’t help the reds who are struggling in all areas

Re: 2022 Cincinnati Reds

3-18 is the worst start since 2018 and losing 16 out of 17 has not happened since 1945. They will get some wins. Maybe today cause the Rockies are not that good and Pittsburg is not good. So it will look like we are improving but it’s just wins against teams just as bad. But at least Aquino is gone....
