Re: Newly discovered Wellston - Ironton game

Page 10 of the October 18, 1908 Cincinnati Enquirer. Wellston 24, Ironton 0 at Wellston. Someone said the refs stumbled out of a bar in Wellston and caught a cab to the game for that one. But seriously, does anyone know what the all time record is between those two? My guess is it's heavi...

Re: Wellston Football

Kids aren’t leaving. We have a coach. Not the Marshall OC that people are saying. It’s someone else that spent time at Marshall. Kids are ready to play. They’re in the weight room. Ready to prove all of SEO wrong. Underdog mentality is dangerous. We’ll have the best qb in the conference and a prett...

How about ole "Dutch"? If he's still around he did a pretty solid job the first time. Maybe he will bail them out. Might just be the shot in the arm they need at this point.

VC is clearly better. VC 35 TVC Cut and runners 6 Clearly you have no idea why Warren left the TVC the coachs never wanted to leave it was the Warren A.D in the 80s that made them. Warren has been trying to get bk in ever since. But no schools will vote them in. Can't say "no schools." NY...

You got that right. The exact opposite of your defense :) It's cute that you guys finally learned how to play and now you're so cocky. Enjoy it while you can. No reason to get upset. Just schedule us for next year and try again. BTW, we've been good for years. It's nothing new.

Coach Farris will not run the score up on purpose. Trimble will play hard and probably win by what ever then want too. I would say both are happy to just play. This is South Gallia”s Homecoming, yes not the game you want for that game. Trimble needs to play to try and keep some type of game shape h...

There were plans for one of these when Davey was still at the helm. Big Boy was the booster pres and he had people working together to get it done and mostly privately funded. Not sure what ever happened to that but since they are both gone now I doubt it ever happens. That was never going to happe...

Talked to a few people and this what they told me, not saying it is true but this is what they said. The health dept did cancel the game because ONE or more tested positive for covid. From my understanding if this criteria is used every week then we must consider cancelling the rest of the season. ...
