Re: State Tournament

Too much AAU. Not teaching fundamentals. Completely agree!!! Also shoot outs. Money makers! No fundamentals. Kids foul because they don't keep track! Because playing in shootouts and coming together as a team with your teammates is not beneficial. I get so tired of this! Like I said before. I am su...

Re: What is going on at River Valley now?

School boards are outdated and should no longer exist. Each district should have a manager (supt.), but they should not have to answer to a group of (in some cases) uneducated community members who haven't a clue how to run a school. Sid your a bit out of touch, what you want is a dictator who spen...

I think Howie is too smart to take this dead-end job. They'll be lucky if they find a coach who is willing to put up with the crap at this school.

Re: Logan Elm vs. Watterson — D2 regional semifinal

I think both Stiverson and Persin are among the top 6 or 7 coaches in the state of Ohio. They have both been doing it for a long time.

Re: Lucasville Valley vs. Columbus Ready - Regional Champion

I would prefer to see a team from the southern end of the state win, and especially a public school that does not recruit its players. But, realistically, I doubt that they can handle Ready. I wish Valley luck. If I was betting on the game, I would take Ready. I have seen both play.

Re: more overrated - athens or warren

Basketball courts come in all shapes and sizes with only perameters for dimensions. Many SE Ohio high schools have a 94' court. Maybe I'm wrong, but I was under the impression that a legal court for high school was '84 X '50. Since a lot of tournament games are on college courts, they are '94 X '50.

Re: more overrated - athens or warren

Warren had the more talented players and more height. But, Logan Elm's coach was two jumps ahead of them, all night. Great coaching makes a big difference.
