Re: Southern @ Waterford (3 OTs)
I would refuse to play at Racine if that is true. These are 16 and 17 year-old high school kids. What you are saying is that they will not be given a fair chance to win when they come to Racine. Based purely on your comments, I don't care of Racine loses every game this season.

Re: River Valley vs Oak Hill 12/13/14
But, every really good and well-coached team I ever saw, the opposing fans complained that "you can't get a fair break on calls at their place". I think that is just rationalizing the fact that they are not good enough or well-coached enough to beat the other team. Very few officials give ...

The game is tougher to officiate than it used to be. Most officials do a great job. Give them the credit they deserve.

Re: Pfloyd's 72 Team Preseason Elite 8 in Southern/SouthEast
I'll be a bit surprised if Wellston and Fairfield are that high later on. I think they both lose some key players from last year. Fairfield is a very, very well-coached team, but, they lost practically everybody from last year's strong tournament run. With all due respect to Coach Snyder, I think t...

Re: 2014-2015 Jackson Ironmen
Probably Stormin' Norman, who was coach at Chesapeake for a number of years, but, for the life of me, I can't come up with his last name. The older I get the more trouble I have with people's names. Wonder why that is?

Yeah. Previews are really a waste of time. But, little Waterford will beat FF again. What do they have? Maybe a THIRD the students FF has?

Re: New Coach in Marauderland?
"Marauderland" will be mediocre for the next dozen years, because "Marauderland" is a mediocre program. If parents ever get out of management, "Marauderland" may be able to build a good program. I'm not holding my breath for THAT to happen.

Beagle 12 - In fairness, Tim Davis was not fired or run out. He is now an assistant principal (or, a principal) and the board of education does not permit people in administration to coach. But, the community believes that the coach should win every game. If they lose even one game, it is the coach'...

who is bruce miles and where did he come from? Bruce Miles was a star basketball player at Hillsboro around 2000, and has recently been an assistant coach, there. A great kid. I hope he can last a while. He will get plenty off free advice, I can guarantee that. The Hillsboro community has circulate...

J.R. Moberly managed to hold on for seven years. Aside from him, no coach has lasted more than three years since 1972. How do they ever expect to have a program?sparky wrote:stumble, who has the longest tenure at Hillsboro in the past 25 years?

It's a shame for Western's new coach. He gets hit below the belt before the season even begins.

"Marauderland" has been mediocre (or, worse) for so many years it's unbelievable. They will continue to be mediocre (or, worse). With all due respect to the new coach, they're not going to leave him alone and let him do his job.

Re: Trimble Hires Howie Caldwell as next basketball coach
You can say anything you want to say about Howie. But, he is an outstanding coach. Wherever he is, he makes the talent look a lot better. I have to get hold of a schedule, so I can go see them play early in the season.
