Money is not the issue Your kid's school must not be in the TVC. All of the schools that I know of around here are looking for ways to make the $ stretch a little further. Wow $500 per school per year. Maybe "back in the day" that wouldn't seem like a lot of $$$$, but now... Most schools are having trouble paying teachers, aids, bus drivers, cooks and books let alone pay that amount of money for refs for sports. I love high school sports as much as the next ...

With the second half of the season beginning this week I'm going with: TVC - Ohio 1. Alexander 2. Meigs 3. Athens 4. Nelsonville-York 5. Vinton County 6. Wellston 7. Belpre TVC - Hocking in which Fed, Trimble and Eastern are in, I have no idea. I would say that Eastern should win that league. Go Alex!

Congrats to the Spartans and kudos to the JV Spartans! The JV game was the most exciting game of the night.

Back to the topic, once again. I believe that the guys from Alexander can get the job done tonight.

Wishes for a speedy recovery for Talbert; I hate it when any kid gets hurt but especially when it is their senior year.

It will be a rough night for the Spartans. Trimble will be looking to revenge last year's lost. But, if Alex can continue to play well together every play, I think they could pull off the W. Should be a good game.

I remember a TVC - Ohio All Sport Winner banner hanging in the gym at Alexander. If I remember correctly (this was a couple years ago & I could be wrong) girl's Cross Country, Volleyball, girl's Basketball, Baseball and Softball all won the TVC title with boy's cross county and basketball coming...

I will say that Alexander will take the TVC - Ohio title again this year. They only lost 2 of the 2007 Division III state runner up team. The Spartans still have 4 year starter Whitney Smith along with Laureen Raines, Betsy Irwin, Megan McCoy and Sarah Radekin who are all seniors. The younger ladies...
