Re: OHSAA adopting (?) at a "Competitive Balance Proposal"
Wheelersburg in Bball is another example of a school that would have potentially been affected by this.

Re: OHSAA adopting (?) at a "Competitive Balance Proposal"
I like the socioeconomic and boundary provisions but the "tradition" provision is ridiculous. You mean to tell me that because you were good the last 4 years they are going to add enrollment and possibly move you up a division? That is dumb. Take for example, my homeschool of Chillicothe. ...

Re: District Championship Chillicothe 44 Warren 42 Final Sc
I don't know what all the negativity is about by you man. This team plyed their hearts out and you have an excellent coach and program. I agree that if they had come out and gotten a 10 point lead and never looked back they would have won. Duh. If anyone gets a 10 point lead and doesn't look back th...

Re: Chillicothe vs. John Glenn...D2 Regional Semifinal
I agree that they deserve credit but saying what needs to be done in order to win the next game is in no way a negative thing. You could be undefeated but there are still things you must do to win the NEXT game. They are not good enough to win every game just by showing up. No one is. To win every g...

Chillicothe vs. John Glenn...D2 Regional Semifinal
Anyone know anything about John Glenn? Cavs survived a scare tonight against a gritty Warren team. John Glenn is coming off a 1 point win over 1 seed Carrollton.

Re: District Championship Chillicothe 44 Warren 42 Final Sc
Don't wanna be that guy but WOW the officiating was terrible tonight. On both sides so Im not saying the refs kept Warren in it but man was it inconsistent is all. Ill reflect more deeply on the game when I've had a day to digest it but I do want to say congrats to both teams and good luck to the Se...

Re: District Championship Warren vs. Chillicothe 3/11/11
Warren can play with Chilli and could very well walk away with a victory. If Chilli comes out and plays defense like they did last week though it will be very tough. I think obviously Cunningham should get his and I really like the inside game of Venham. I think he has a good mix of physical and fun...

Re: As promised.., Setting Vinton County's Record Straight
The Wizard, that is the crux of it, right there with what you had typed. Let me explain. Granted, no one is denying, the SEOAL is a very good, I would say great league. However, over the past few years, Logan has dominated in football, and recently in basketball it has been Chillicothe, why? Logan ...

Re: What would have to happen for Wellston to defeat Chesape
Chesapeake would have to install an honor code similar to BYU. Then ALL of Chersapeake's players would have to violate that code and be kicked off the team. THEN, thje replacement players that they get out of the kids that arte usually in the crowd would have to all be injured in shootaround immedia...

Re: D2 District Semifinal: Logan Elm 16-6 vs. Chillicothe 19
I believe the only time Chillicothe trailed during the game was when it was 3-2 L.E. a couple minutes in. Still, the Braves fought hard and it was a well played game. Talent wise, the two teams were not that close but the Braves hung around and played their hearts out. When Chilli was up about 7 in ...

Kevin Martin. Zanesville.
Not only drafted but he is a beast in the NBA. I never saw him but if we are comparing resumes I just thought I would throw his name out.

Re: Drug Testing
Teachers are randomly drug tested. At least in the districts I have been familiar with. As far as coaches who are not teachers, it probably depends on the district but I would guess most are not. Drug testing is a good idea I think but too expensive to be practical in a high school setting most times.

Re: Best Team in your schools Modern History 1970-2011
My bad, I read into that the wrong way. You meant for his size. Ok yea, I see what you mean. Nate Robinson was also a college football player btw. Dru Joyce was a nice "little" guard at Akron SVSM (5'4) played at Akron. His freshmen year hit like 5 3's in the state championship. Very good...

Re: Best Team in your schools Modern History 1970-2011
Humpty really the second best player in high school you have ever seen? For his size, yes. Keep in mind that he is listed at 5'8'' and that is being generous. How many kids that are " 5'8'' " get D1 rides? I can't think of many. Think Nate Robinson but high school version. I still think i...

LoganElm_grad09 - It's not that I don't like playing you guys. Actually it's quite the opposite because I know it will be a great game. I just hate this nervous anticipation I get leading up to it. I just want to get it goin now. lol. No prediction as I haven't seen L.E. play this year but I look fo...

Re: Best Team in your schools Modern History 1970-2011
Here is a question. Who is the best team you have ever seen in SEO? I know not all of us are old enough to have seen some of these great teams but just what is the best you have seen. Personally, I have heard great things about the 81 Chillicothe Cavs and the 88 and 78 Portsmouth Trojans but since ...

Re: Best Team in your schools Modern History 1970-2011
No offense datchili, but I have seen several players far better then Humpty in the state tourny and in SEO. LeBron obviously, Jarod Williams Lakewood St. Edwards, OJ Mayo NCH, Bill Walker NCH, Dante Jackson McClain, Chris Early HHS, Patrick Patterson HHS, I could go on. I didn't say he was the best...

Re: D2 District Semifinal: Logan Elm 16-6 vs. Chillicothe 19
It's those freakin Braves again. I get nervous every time we play those guys. Actually, I hate playing them. They are the best coached team in SEO every year IMO. Remember the year Chilli won state, they were one of the best H.S. teams I have ever seen and talent wise L.E. shouldn't have even showed...

Re: "The People's Elite 8" poll week 7
Not that it matters but, IMO Peake would have 4 league losses were they in the SEOAL. IMO, they would have lost to Chilli twice, Portsmouth once(assuming Bendolph didn't play the first) , and split with Warren. Very possibly could have lost to Marrietta once but also could have beaten one of the oth...
