How is everyone saying Wellston is going to finish last in the league? They return everyone except Lockard and a couple linemen. Putting them in last is total disrespect for the team, which they do not deserve. They WILL NOT finish any less than third.

Probably Greg Frost from Alexander. Vinton County will most likely win, but they are more team-oriented. Greg Frost is averaging I believe over 20 pts a game.

Vinton County is getting a lot of votes just because of recent success in basketball. Look at what they have done in other sports, nothing. If it came down to all sports, I would have to give the nod to Belpre, because of all sports.

Darnell, from Wellston will probably be their ace. He was last year and should be even better.

4-6 last season, so what does everybody think about this year? All skill positions are returning on offense, but the O line lost a couple. The defense is returning almost everyone too. I think there should be no reason why they shouldn't go 5-5 or 6-4. What does everyone else think?

Southern ohio officiating is poor. Most are out of shape and can't get into position for the call, poor mechanics. Absolutley no conisistency from one game to another. Ask each ref what the OHSSA rule of emphasis for this year are and they will all tell you something different which shouldn't happe...

That is not at all what I said. Detroit Conservitory (Spelling?) is a very, very good team. The Florida Tournament is also a very prestigous tournament that compares to other top ones in the country. So with saying that, I'd say they can play OVC all they want to.

Wellston won the game like 73-38 or something like that. And in response to playing OVC, I think it is okay to play an easy team once a season since they are playing a team from Detroit and three teams from Florida.

The game really didn't show me much because Wellston massed subbed pretty much every couple minutes and didn't play normal starters, but thats how the preview goes every year. I guess we will just see in the upcoming monthes what these teams have.

I am pretty sure before last year, Wellston won like 9 or 10 straight games with Meigs. But for this game, I am going to take the Rockets 34-28.

I don't know much about Athens but from what I have heard this year, and in years past they are very physical and athletic.
