Re: Update: Public Schools 96 Private/Parochial/Magnet 94

My suggestion is to make the private schools all play in D1 regardless of their enrollment. Portsmouth Notre Dame has 44 boys in grades 9-12. You would have them play in Division 1? Simple answer: YES! Here's why: Let's just say that Portsmouth Notre Dame decides that it wants to be good at basketb...

Re: Update: Public Schools 96 Private/Parochial/Magnet 94

Here is the question I was wondering... How many public schools and how many private schools play football in Ohio? Better yet, what is the breakdown in each division? Every year it seems that private schools win a majority of the championships, but yet they are not a majority of the number of schoo...

Re: 2009 LoganFootball.com All-SEOAL Team

I'll give my unpopular opinion. I would give the nod to Hall at Jackson for coach of the year too. Sure Coach Lutz broke the all-time wins record in Ohio this year, but the Tigers were expected to finish about the way they did. On the other hand, Jackson lost everyone and I would not have been surpr...

Re: D4-R16 - Regional Final - Clinton-Massie vs Kettering Alter

Looking at common opponent Jonathan Alder; C-M beat them 10-9 and Alter beat them 42-0, you would think this is gonna be another blowout for Alter, but anything can happen.

Ironton and Wheelersburg fans need to eat at the Coffee Cup in Nelsonville. The prime rib is excellent and the Mt. Dew is served in wine glasses! ;-)

Re: It Looks Like Some In Our Area Have Drop The Ball...

Email I sent to OHSAA web coordinator: I am a high school sports and football fan and it was recently brought to my attention that no or few players in the area I live (Southeastern Ohio) were featured in your list of statistics leaders at: <http://www.ohsaa.org/news/sports/STATE_FOOTBALL_STAT_LEAD...

Re: A question to Logan Posters

So you would rather lose in the first round than the state semi-final? Of course not..but in the end..you still lost..so..does it matter? No. It does matter for the future of your program. Consistently having 3 or 4 more weeks of practice together every year makes a big difference. GO TIGERS!!!

Re: Random thoughts on Logan fans who post here

maybe if we arrange for logan to play in the DIV IV playoffs they wouldn't have to play those big ole dII schools they wont get in a conference with and they could start their own playoff legacy to brag about When is the last time Ironton's "legacy" won them a championship? Maybe we could...

Re: Random thoughts on Logan fans who post here

Maybe because Wheelersburg has only been playing about half as long as those teams listed. Lutz must consider them a quality opponent or he wouldn't have PERSONALLY scouted them at their Jackson scrimmage. My comments were not a slam at the Burg. They are one of my favorites after week #1. I said &...

Re: Random thoughts on Logan fans who post here

Re: Ironton 7th Grade

Ironton only has 15 kids on the 7th grade team and with all the sickness and injuries they had to cancel. They had to play 7th graders in the 8th grade game to have enough for that team. Who knows if they will be able to play any other games, but if they have enough I would bet they will try. GO TIG...

Re: Random thoughts on Logan fans who post here

If this topic didn't mention Ironton and rather just challenged Logan to not "settle" for domination of a league this season and focus on a bigger prize, like the Division 2 state title, would there be any disagreement? I doubt it! The point of all this is to say, take your program to the ...
