Minford / Oak Hill has been canceled.

They were allowed to use the Football field. But with the earlier weather it was still limited.

That’s possible at most schools but not at Oak Hill. They have two gyms inside of the new school but are not allowed any/limited use of them. Other than conditioning (running) they are just not allowed.

I think they were 14 & 10 last year. If I’m not mistaken they won the last 6 or 7 of the season.

It actually the same way they started out last year. It always seems that Oak Hill doesn’t get the earlier work needed to start the season out ready. Andrew Elliot would in my book be the top sophomore in the area. I would venture to say, baring any misfortune, he will be one of the top D1 prospects from the area in a couple of years. He is immensely talented, hard working, and an overall good kid.

It’s always the current champs to lose. I see East being tough again but with all of Oak Hill’s Red Shirt freshmen returning it is retuning it theirs to win.

Sad to say, but preference seems to be to the sport that makes the most money.

A couple of years ago the father of a student worked hard to get it golf in OH, even got the approval of the board at FV and found a coach. He even offered to help financially but ultimately the school didn’t go thru with it. Many kids showed an interest but ended up disappointed.
