Re: FUTURE OF LOGAN BASKETBALL

Logan down 18 in 4th battling back to win in OT shows great heart and desire to not quit. Fisher with 40 yo lead Logan Yeah I agree, great effort by the Chieftains; but for as how big Lancaster is as a school and how much closer the kids live to the school than Logan, the Gales honest to God are te...

Re: 12/23 - Africentric @ Ironton

Africentric is also most notably where the daughters of Pickerington Central basketball coach Jerry Francis got their diplomas after Harvest had the rug pulled from out under them.

Re: 12/23 - Africentric @ Ironton

Africentric is a very tough team! I know they've had several girls go on to play in college over the last several years. If I'm not mistaken, are they 2-time defending state champs? Go Ironton! Didn't t Africentric have a title taken away from them..or am I thinking of someone else? That's a possib...

Re: Meigs thus far

I've seen Meigs play in scrimmage this year. Their coach knows what he is doing X's and O's wise, but he may not yet have a feel for who to play. It's still early in the season. He may have to resort to bringing up and playing some younger kids down the road, as one of their top players (I presume h...

Re: Tuesday night scores and scheudle

Heard Kevin Fisher stayed out of foul trouble against Lancaster. 40 pts. - 12 rebs ? It was tied at 24 at half. Third quarter Lancaster outscored Logan by 16 (25 versus 9) and came in leading 49-33. The fact Logan was able to come back and throw up 28 to tie is a testament and a credit to the Lo...

Re: Top Teams early on

I know it's not southeast district, but since someone is eventually going to play them in tourney time, all I can say is Newark Catholic and Fairfield Ch. are both very strong at D4 coming out of central.

Logan is doing great this year. That win over Watterson is very quality.

Re: Eastern( Reedsville ) @ Ironton St. Joe

Hey St Joe how many of your 12 graduating Seniors did you recruit last year. Just a quick aside, and someone can PM me if need be - but how average is this for ISJ? Marion Catholic's final class was seven - different dioceses I know, but hopefully the Diocese of Steubenville has done their fair end...

Re: Eastern( Reedsville ) @ Ironton St. Joe

And remember faith can be taught at public schools too. I hope for the Catholic kids' sake that attend the publics' in Lawrence, Meigs or whatever county you're from that you're not the one teaching faith. And just as a more general response - as a supporter of a school that resonates with ISJ's mi...

If FF is a team worth their salt they should be able to invoke the clock on Northridge.

Re: Logan?

That may be Logan Elm that is open.. That job is listed on OHSAA... It's Logan Elm. The word up in Fairfield County is the "fear" that Wade Bartholomew is going to succeed his dad now that the opportunity has sprung. Would feel awful for the Bloom-Carroll kids if that were the case. The g...

Re: Eastern( Reedsville ) @ Ironton St. Joe

Who the hell cares? If ISJ was going 0-4 no one would say a peep. But now that they're 4-0 the alarm is being sounded. I bet ISJ's basketball team is full of Diana Taurasi's and Katie Smith's that live 50 miles away from the school! :aaaaa26

Good luck Lady Fliers and Lady Titans!

Re: Marion Local vs Athens

I don't believe CalPreps' algorithms for matchups outside of California incorporate school size. I think if MSML and Athens played 100 times, it would be a 51/49 split either way.

Re: Newly Formed League to invite Jackson, Logan, and Warren

Mandatory crossover games won't work and having some kind of contract to play MSL teams isn't a good idea. Southern, Eastern, Waterford, Wahama... Etc.. Don't want to drive to Central Ohio to play games if they don't have to. If you wanna play a school from the MSL then schedule them. If not you sh...

Re: Newly Formed League to invite Jackson, Logan, and Warren

And don't give that cross over game BS either. The only way to ensure those games get played is to put that in the by-laws, thus forcing teams to play them. So how do you rotate that? The MSL does that nonesense, and you get mismatches all over the place. I can see it now: "Hey Miller, you're ...
