Congrats to Anthony Hitchens
Anthony Hitchens and the Akron Zips won the MAC tournament by beating Buffalo 65-53 in the championship game. Hitchens wasn't expected to play because of a sprained left ankle that he suffered during the quarterfinals. However, he was a key contributor off the bench, scoring 10 points in 14 minutes....

That is a classy act, but it doesn't make up for playing time.

Re: Ironton: 2005 State Champions?
I'm not getting into a "If this would have happened...." discussion, but if Mayo is absent from that game the second half probably turns out differently. He scored 14 of his 22 in the second half and nine of NCH's 14 points in the fourth quarter. Walker had a great game against Ironton, bu...

Re: Burg vs. Hamilton Badin
If Wheelersburg wins this game they'll win the state, as these teams from the Cincinnati area are the best in the state. Did you know the Greater Cincinnati area is the breeding ground for the most professional athletes in baseball? Not to get off topic here, but most of those players come from Moe...

Re: Burg vs. Hamilton Badin
Here is a story about Badin's win in the regional championship. Badin tops defending champs FAIRBORN — Nate Hubbard hit the ball so hard you could practically hear it scream. But when the ball was snagged by a leaping infielder for the third out in the sixth inning the Rams began to have a sinking...

The game was shortened to six innings by the 10-run mercy rule. Logan (27-9) won its second title in four years. The Wi...

Hale gave up three earned runs on seven hits, struck out three, and walked four in 6 1/3 against Michigan tonight. It was not enough though, as the Buckeyes lost 4-1. Hale is now 5-2 on the season.

Hale picked up a win in the first contest of a three-game series against Minnesota (4/4/08).
Jake, who had a cold, gave up 6 runs on 10 hits and struck out four over 6 1/3. He is now 3-0 on the season

Is Logan Elm much improved or is Unioto not as good as they were last year? I know Wheelersburg beat Logan Elm by around 20-1 or 21-1 in a scrimmage just last week.
