Re: Alexander @ Minford 12/13/14

Just a thought: why does Minford come out every year jacking threes and not working the ball inside? Last year with McCray the three point shooting nearly killed them, but when they worked the ball inside they were hard to stop. Seems like this happens every year. Not many high school teams have an...

Re: Alexander @ Minford 12/13/14

Could not agree more on the scoreboard. Love the idea of shooting % and turnovers. Will never happen but it's nice to dream.

Re: Alexander @ Minford 12/13/14

Great team win tonight against a very physical (and that's an understatement) Alexander team. Great game plan establishing Gullion in the post (see previous comment on Minford/Waverly post). Gullion played BIG tonight, literally and figuratively. Much much better distribution of the ball and less f...

Re: 12/12 Scores and updates

Minford wins at home vs Waverly 78-54. Looked a little flat in first half and led by 1. Seemed a little more energetic in 2nd half and pulled away. Pretty balanced scoring with Rowe with 17, Kelly and Guillion with 14 and Shepherd with 12.

Re: TOP PLAYERS IN S.O.C. 1 & 2

Agree with old school. Points scored should not be the sole determining factor. See too many players who are concerned with "getting theirs " and compound things by giving little effort on defense Another thing to consider with high school kids is who worked in the off season to get better...

Re: Minford High 2013

Not sure who will start nor do I think it really matters. It is gonna take 7 or 8 of them playing together as a team. Each can contribute in their own way dependent on their skill set. Had the chance to watch some of these kids in the summer playing both AAU and some shoot outs and I saw big improve...

Re: OVC 2013-2014

Chesapeake will play solid fundamental basketball as they always do under their coach.
IMO they will take the conference. Coaching really does matter at the hs level and I think he does a solid job.

Re: Trevon Pendleton

I have had the chance to watch several MSU games tv and have been
really impressed with his blocking. Congrats to the young man and
hope he has continued success... In all games but the Big 10 championship.
