Re: Piketon Redstreaks 2010-11

Congrats to Evan Legg for signing with Rio Grande today. The young man has worked very hard and paid his dues. Also to his parents Scott and Tracey. Well deserved, now he can focus on the upcoming season.

"run it down our thoughts". That's a good one. I'd like to see this one but will have to tune in on the airwaves. Go Ironmen! Run it down their thoughts! Seriously though, I expect a great game between these two fine teams.

Re: D5 R19 #5 Nelsonville @ #4 Minford

Is that power running back still at Nelsonville that played against Piketon in 08 and 09? He was tough. Can't remember his name.

Re: WK10 SOC2 7-2 Minford @ 8-1 Lucasville Valley

Vladimir, I do agree with you about Minford being especially focused. I have no doubt they will be and for good reason. However, if Yates doesn't play - well, he does make a major difference on both sides of the ball for Valley. You are right - it may not change Minford's game plan - it would only ...

Peace Paul. My apologies to you for being a bit of a smart alec in the tone of my posts. This is a great sport and I think the fussing back and forth isn't necessary. Good luck to you too.

Re: Piketon Results

Lol you picked a kid that won by 40 seconds to compare times to other courses. I know Adrian pretty well and I know what he's capable of...and that's a lot faster than what he showed on Saturday. He won easy and coasted to a district title. Ok, since you know so much, compare all the kids behind hi...

Well said IronFalcon. I have only known Coach Berry for this past year - having gone to church with him during that time. He truly will be missed. A great man in every aspect of his life. My prayers go out for his family in this loss.

Re: Piketon Results

I can say without a doubt that Circleville (OV Christian Univ), Northwest, Westfall and Hilliard (where the big race was held on Oct. 2) are all as fast as Piketon's course. Unioto's course might be as well. This year we had excellent weather on Oct. 2. As explained earlier, footing, terrain, compet...

Yes, very similar to Piketon except footing was uneven in places. The SVC is pretty strong in CC right now. The weather was very similar to the Piketon Inv this year - cool temps with no wind. It was also measure per GPS at 3.11.

Re: Week 8: SVC Piketon (6-1, 4-0) @ Southeastern (5-2, 2-2)

Depth is definitely in favor of Piketon. However, Steven Hall is the great equalizer with his speed and ability to go the distance at any given moment. I look for a great game and hopefully the Streaks will come out on top.
