Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio Week #9

Ah. Pfloyd, you have done it again! You have posted week #9 and it looks great, IMO. You are getting exactly what you hoped for, lots of people reading, posting and noting their opinions for their teams. You do the true fans of SEO basketball such a service! Keep up the great work, from an old Troja...

Re: The importance of junior varsity basketball

The JV program is paramount to most schools in SEO, IMO, because the size of the player pool has shrunk. While I was in school, about the time the wheel was invented, our school was much larger and thus more players to choose from. Coach Heller and Weinbrecht did a good job of seeing Rae talent that...

Re: [=== OVC (2016-17) ===] -- Schedule/Results/Standings

Looking at these numbers it is so apparent OHSAA needs to take a hard look at and do something about schools having to compete in tourney. IMO, the divisions are so huge that schools such as Fairland, and other schools with similar situation, are finding it harder to compete on a regular basis after...

As an old Trojan I am looking forward to the great posts and info you all post. The rival games, the league games and of course the Pfloyd rankings! To all in SEO h...

Re: Week 3 (2-0) Portsmouth @ (2-0) Wheelersburg

Being an old Trojan living in Arizona it is always fun to read posts about this game, and others. Portsmouth football, at this time is just not good! PHS needs players to come out, play more than one sport or those that could help not playing at all. OVC is a good league for PHS, SOC would have been...

Bannon Park

Just looking at the end of May, wondering if the annual Clambake is taking place this year at the "Park"? If so, what dates. People if this happens plan to go, I was lucky enough to catch it a couple of years ago while I was home at it is fun to watch, pretty good food too! Usually around ...

Thanks for the updates. McKinleyat 6'4" and only a freshman could grow to 6'6"! Do not let another school recruit him. Coach has done a really good job the past couple of years without a large, PHS Bob lived on!

Tough loss to end season. Who is coming back and moving up from JV? Will there be any size, this, IMO, really hurt the Trojans all year. Thanks for any updates.

Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio Week #7

I agree, this is a list, and a very good list...High School BB is so fluid, one night you beat a really good team by whatever then the next game you can not make a layup.. I for one do not know how you do it Pfloyd. So many teams, games and results to keep up with. This Elite 8 is so much fun to rea...

Re: Lucasvile Valley 60 Portsmouth Trojan 52

Ptownhoops, spot on! Larry was something special. Trojans did well during that period without much height, not unlike this year's edition. But Larry played like 6'8". Larry, Al Oliver, Jim Cyrus (our big at 6'3"),Steve Battle and Bob Novinger played some great ball.
