Re: Shop Small Saturday - What is a "Small Business"?

Something to think about when not shopping at the "evil" WalMart. If everyone did as suggested and boycotted WalMart, what would happen to the 2 million people they employ? You mean to say that I shouldn't shop at my local WalMart, shouldn't spend my money on low cost items that I can affo...

Re: Anyone know teams in Ironton Classic for 2011?

I was thinking of starting a topic about this very subject. I assume that the classic is on again for this year? I haven't heard anything and the website hasn't been updated since last year.

Highest % Tax Revenue Compared To GDP

If you look at the numbers, the highest tax revenue has been since 1934 as a percentage of GDP is 20.9%. If liberals want to take that number, 21% of GDP, the federal government would have 3.087 Trillion dollars from 14.7 Trillion GDP(2010). The feds will spend around 3.65 Trillion this year, so the...

Road runner when up around a dollar. Granted, it's only a dollar but still sucks. That's the only thing we have with TW, but can't really get rid of internet.

Re: Area Gas Prices?

Just jumped up to 4.29 in Ironton. What a fucking ripoff. Guarantee they are using the death of OBL to squeeze out more profits. Look for $5 and above being the new steady price before labor day.

Re: Post (4-11) scores or postponements & makeup dates (Than

Why does baseball start so early? You know in April the majority of the days are going to be rain outs. Why not wait until at least the middle of the month to start the season?

Will this game still be played? Ironton won't have class Friday due to the closure of the flood gates and high water is currently covering north bound lane of 93 near Pedro. Supposed to get even higher until Monday, I've heard.

EPA just approved higher levels of ethanol for gas, too. Look for corn to explode in price, causing everything in the store to rise substantially.

Re: Ironton Classic

The Ironton Classic is awesome, but I have to wonder how much they are paying some of these teams to travel all the way to little old Ironton Ohio in December. You know they have to be shelling out some cash to get these big time teams.

hmm, how are they going to have a ribbon cutting ceremony and an open house at 1PM? Aren't classes going on tomorrow? Like I said, the Tribune is pretty short on the details.

Ironton High School Open House?

Anyone know when the open house is for the new high school? I thought I heard that it was supposed to be on Thursday the 26th, but I'm not sure. Of course, the Tribune hasn't had anything about it in the paper, worthless news. Thanks.
