Re: Hats off to Craig Dunn and Spencer Waugh!!

Ah, to be under the age of 35 once again! LOL Thanks for all the nice comments. Yes, I'm very, VERY happy with the way the preview turned out. I hope the LDN readers enjoyed it and go back to it for reference again and again. And I'm also very fortunate to be working with so many of these young guys...

Re: SEOAL new Division / Region breakdown

There are no divisions in football, although they are still a year away from a complete round-robin football schedule because some schools still had to finish two-year non-league commitments this season. They did utilize divisions to where you played all the teams in your division and three of the f...

Re: Blue Angels Win! Blue Angels Win! Blue Angels Win!

I know last year's title game at Logan was one of the best softball games I've ever seen in my life, and as happy as I was for the Lady Chiefs I felt just as bad for the Blue Angels. I was proud then, and still am now, of what both teams did that day. Both teams played so hard and so well that day t...

Ironton-Portsmouth makeup game score for today (Tuesday)

Hopefully the weather cooperated today and Ironton and Portsmouth played their SEOAL makeup game. If anyone gets a final score could you post it? Thanks.

Re: SEOAL new Division / Region breakdown

Every time I see this stuff I bite my tongue and don't post a reply, but I can no longer resist because the last poster made a terrific point. Despite my screen name, it might surprise you that I'm going right down the middle. I am immensely proud of Logan Chieftain football, as are those who follow...

Again, if anyone can post a result today, it would be greatly appreciated!

Let's hope the weather cooperates for all teams in all sports, it's been a tough spring weather-wise.

Re: Zanesville at Chillicothe: SEOAL League Championship

Regulator, your last point makes a lot of sense. Here's what happened: teams didn't want to travel to neutral sites for DOC events. The one season (2006-07) they did that in basketball, for example, the events were not well-attended even for the championship games — and that even includes one of t...

Re: Scores 5-1

Keyzer_soze has informed me Jackson and Portsmouth are still playing the baseball game but the game site has been switched to Portsmouth. Portsmouth will then play a makeup game Monday at Jackson. If anyone from Portsmouth could post the final score tonight it would be greatly appreciated. He also h...

Re: SEOAL - All League Team

You are correct... the All-SEOAL boys basketball teams will be announced next Tuesday, March 3. They will be sent to area media later this week and will be embargoed for release that morning (Tuesday newspapers). While a few (hopefully several!) SEOAL boys teams will still be alive in the tournament...

Re: Logan 71 Portsmouth 52 Final

BTW... was Dave wearing a No. 42 jersey? If so he stood out -- in a good way! LOL I think the Trojans wore down at the end myself, plus Logan hit a big shot at the third-quarter buzzer that took a lot out of them. Here's wishing the Trojans good luck in the D3 tournament... I think they are a DANGER...

Re: Logan 71 Portsmouth 52 Final

Already passed it along to him -- Logan 50, Portsmouth 41 -- but the JV games don't count in the league standings.

The varsity games don't count on the actual league standings either -- they are used for positioning. Logan finishes fifth in the league and Portsmouth places sixth.

Re: Logan 71 Portsmouth 52 Final

Logan 71, Portsmouth 52 is correct... game was tied 45-45 with less than a minute left in the third quarter. Portsmouth has some outstanding athletes but just didn't consistently get things together as a team. Athletically I still think Portsmouth is the best in the SEOAL.
