Re: Is Waterford the premier D-IV program in the state?

I don't have their record for the last 15 years but it seems like they have a ticket to the Regionals during that span. Thanks for the mention of the other teams with better records. I think it's cool that a TVC team gets mentioned with the creme de la creme of girls basketball in D-IV. Good luck to...

Is Waterford the premier D-IV program in the state?

I don't have all the Regional and State appearances but they have to be numerous. They have done it at a Public School which means he has to coach who lives in the area and walks through the doors. I know they have at least one State Championship. The guy has racked all this up while staying at one ...

Re: Newly Formed Twin State League

You would think Morgan and Gallipolis would give it a look.
Maybe even River Valley if Gallipolis joined.
I am clueless about Gallipolis but you'd think Morgan would give it a real look.

Great kid who is well deserving of this honor.

Re: What’s The Best Game You’ve Ever Witnessed?

NY and Southern way way back---there must have been a couple dozen lead changes.
I know Grandy was the coach at NY and I believe Wolfe was coaching Southern.

Re: SE DII Sectionals combined this year?

You are arguing with yourself Big Boy. I agreed that most accidents happen where you drive the most. I also stand by my assertion that an accident that happens during a kid's normal driving routine will be viewed much differently than one that happened when they are returning from a sporting event t...

Re: SE DII Sectionals combined this year?

bman, no I wouldn't because common sense tells me most accidents will happen where you drive the most. However, an accident on the way to school or the grocery store will be seen as unlucky. An accident while driving 3 or 4 total hours will be seen as unnecessary. I would also hazard to guess that m...

Re: SE DII Sectionals combined this year?

Enigmaxx if you are right then all they are doing is adding a lot of travel. I would think that has to hurt attendance; at least by the higher seeds. Parents will be reluctant to let their kids drive an hour and a half or more one way to watch a game and if it's viewed as a play in game they won't b...

Re: SE DII Sectionals combined this year?

What are the pros to this? We are going back to an earlier time when you had to win at least 3 and sometimes 4 games to win a Sectional. We quit doing that for a reason. Travel will be a nightmare because we are talking about Winter not Spring or Fall. I think you will see a drop in attendance. The ...

Truthreader it's an individual award---unless you are proposing to give it to the team that wins the league.

Just in case you boys deadlock today. :)

The Bartley boy from Falconland is 9 points from setting the single season scoring record and made 80 3's while shooting 42% from 3 land.
He has a boatload of assists too.

Re: TVC hocking MVP

The Bartley boy from Falconland has to be considered. He is 9 points away from setting the single season scoring record. He has made 80 3's while shooting 42% on his attempts. How many kids could do that if they were in the gym alone? He isn't just a gun and has amassed a bunch of assists. This is a...

Re: TVC hocking MVP

Colby Bartley of Miller has put up some great numbers.
If the MVP is an individual award and not a team one he deserves some consideration.
THROUGH 16 GAMES HIS STATS ARE:

PTS. 343

REBOUNDS 100

ASSISTS 52

STEALS 45.

Re: Possible POY TVC-OHIO 2018/2019

If the Player of the Year is truly an individual and not a team trophy.....Colby Bartley from Miller has to be mentioned in the conservation. I coached this young man and he's a super kid---I add that so you'll know where I'm coming from but it doesn't matter---in this case the numbers don't lie. TH...

We'll see if you guys stoning the TVC are right or not.
If SW and CG are the 4 and 5 seeds then you will be proven out---if not it's all been noise.
