Didn't the panthers only start one of their starters, and for the whole game they never did play the starting five.

The Panthers should be fun to watch, with junior Ally C. leading the way (4 or 5 pitches for strikes-500+ batting avg) with jr. Sydney B. backing her up pitching with alot of pop in the bat. They didn't lose a senior last year either. Good luck peake, we'll be there to root you on.

They looked real good, they lost 1 of 8 quarters, Valley was pretty good and Ironton St. Joe was decent.

Earp you may remember this one, 1980 Chesy over Fairland 19-18. Dragons led 18-0 at the half. Peake shut out Hutchison and the Dragons second half and win on late TD and extra point.

Not so fast my friend, don't sell the peake short. Look for the Panthers to be much improved this year, even with Ruffner a little banged up the Panthers have plenty of depth to contend this year. Look for the peake to give the pointers all they want this year.

Copley and Webb at the Peake are probably the best.

The speed issue isn't even close, Fairland has more speed then I have seen in 8 or nine years in the OVC. And they use it with quick hitters, reverses, inside counters and QB draws. Coal Grove may be a little faster than normal but as long as the two backs get it up the middle 40 times and you don't...

Look for the Panthers to be much stronger and faster next year, just too much pride in the new staff and young kids to be walloped like they were Friday night. Look for Coach Ball to have some beast next year and for the offense and defense to jel and play alot better. Good times are just ahead.

Just from what I've seen up close is Fairland has way too much speed and will run and throw at will. They completely dominated us with slants and counters and Coal Grove just plows ahead whether you put 8 or 9 in the box you know what is coming.
