Re: Jim Tressel Steping Down at Ohio State?

It is not when the lose they want Tressell to leave as much as wanting him to open up the offense more in some of losses. As well as sticking with some upperclass players who are not producing instead of playing some talented underclassmen. I agree with this and think this is why most Buckeye fans ...

Re: OHIO UNIVERSITY BOBCAT HOCKEY

If you want to watch really competetive hockey Penn State is the matchup you want to see. Saturday is always better than Friday because they don't have to worry about sitting out the next night if they get tossed. :122245

Re: State of Michigan Program

Another thought on the Harbaugh scenario. This is a long shot I know. If Harbaugh can convince Denard to stay and play wr he could add a lot, see Russell Shepard at LSU.

Re: The Count Down till RR gets FIRED

Heres five things DB needs to consider when he evaluates RR. 1. Has RR improved UM's recruiting? I say no. 2. Has RR shown the ability to run an organized program? Obviously not as evidenced by exceeding NCAA practice limits. 3. Has RR shown that he can motivate his players to perform beyond their a...

Re: River Valley School Board to Vote in Dec on joining TVC

gahs4ever, I love your sense of tradition and agree with a lot of what you have to say, but I just don't think that any league that tries to stay true to historic rivalries will thrive with the challenges that are being presented in todays economy and politics. I absolutely agree with trying to save...

Re: River Valley School Board to Vote in Dec on joining TVC

There are a lot of scenarios that haven't been considered if you factor in Chilli and Logan taking off for another conference. Would Athens, Vinton County, Meigs, Wellston, Alexander, or NY consider applying for SEOAL membership? Does Portsmouth stay or start looking somwhere else? Does Jackson look...

Re: D5 R19 #5 Nelsonville @ #4 Minford

The O-Line played extremely well. The defence played lights out as well, 3 quarters of shutout football. If I remember right Nelsonville's only TD came on a drive kept alive by a penalty, Minford was an offsides call away from holding the TVC Champs to 0 points. See that call confused me, because t...

Re: Michigan Football

The difference between RR and Harbaugh is that Jim has shown the ability to adapt his schemes to the strengths of his talent. Hoke has shown the ability to make the players he inherits a lot better, in either case we are better off. Personally I would like to see Harbaugh get the job but will feel a...

Re: TVC-Ohio Championship: Athens @ Nelsonville-York

Over the years I have seen a lot of people on here talking about this staff outcoaching that staff and it strikes me funny. I guess the point that I am trying to make is that 99% of the COACHING happens in practice, not on Friday night, for all the armchair quarterbacks out there who only see the te...

Re: D5 R19 #5 Nelsonville @ #4 Minford

I have a feeling that both teams are going to have dings at this point in the season. As far as the game is concerned the defense that plays the best against the run wins this one. Go Bucks!!!!!!!!!

Re: D5 R19 #5 Nelsonville @ #4 Minford

I have been waiting for these two teams to bump into each other, knew they would eventually. NY and Minford split a home and home a few years back, with both games being won by the road team, hope the trend continues. Go get 'em Buckeyes.

If they make it: NY on Saturday and Alex or Trimble on Friday. Excited about the possibility of Athens County having three playoff teams.

Re: TVC-Ohio Championship: Athens @ Nelsonville-York

Athens has exceptional skill players and the QB coming back helps. If Harris plays against Alex that game may have ended differently. I think NY will control the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball and bring home another TVC title.

Re: Division 5 Region 19 in 2010

Assuming NY beats Athens, cause the stars will have to line up if we lose, this is the way I figure it for NY. Minford and Wheelersburg both win: #5 @ Coal Grove Valley and Wheelersburg win: #6 @ Wheelersburg Minford wins Burg loses: #4 home vs. Minford Valley wins Burg loses: #5 @ Coal Grove Anyone...

Alexander looked good against Athens on Friday night. I'm not sure that they can run the ball right at the Bucks with the same success they did against the 'Dogs.
