This is easy, transfers sit out a year. Im pretty sure that would slow it down. Of course you do not want to sit out a kid whose parents actually move, but I guess they always figure out a way around that. I guess I am talking out of both sides of my mouth. Open enrollment was not ment for athletes...

Is the transfer issues dealing with teams closer to the River Well, let's start up the river at Ironton and work our way back down the river. Let's look back at the past few years. I remember when Coach Lutz stepped down at Ironton there were some transfers out, some to Wheelersburg and maybe to Ro...

The "Transfer Epidemic" Cause and Effect?

I suppose sometimes it is kids that have issues with the school or the football program and sometimes the parents have issues with the school or the football program, maybe even a little of both. I thin...

I don't understand how they are not able to keep kids out from junior high to high school. It just seems that this school should be competitive at every sport. They have decent facilities, and the numbers on the junior high team seem good. But what happens? Someone once said, "Winning is conta...

I asked a simple question concerning who would be coaching, I did not intend for that question to insult Coach Spears. You are correct in saying that Northwest is not a "Football School". I do know that the past two years have been difficult ones for the community out there as well as the ...

I have not heard of any resignation either. I would think with a 1-19 record the past two seasons the school would be considering a change.

I think they are ready. The program has been brought along slowly by Coach Mantel. You have to get started at the varsity level at some point. Best of luck to the kids from Adams County! Welcome back to "Varsity Football!

Notre Dame will be picking up three offensive linemen from Lucasville Valley next year. Funny, not so long ago the ND kids were migrating to Valley to play football, now it is the other way around. If the Titans can find them a QB to go along with these linemen, they may very well be in the SOC-I ch...

Hopefully, Franklin Furnace Green will find a way to keep their kids from going to Wheelersburg, Ironton or Rockhill. I think the Bobcats are in need of some strong leadership to keep football alive and well. Right now I would put them on the "Endangered Species List" in the SOC-I.
