I have coached at three programs where it was said that those teams couldn't compete at a high level. All three of those schools have made the playoffs consistently in the last few years and one won a state title. It takes hard work, dedication, and a belief in the program. You have to develop talent not just wait for it. Some years you will have lesser talent, but that is where coaching, conditioning, and hard work comes in. If you are one of those people that just give up if you don't have the most "talent" then you have no idea what it takes to build a foo...

The last I heard there have been 15 applicants. I hope that they give Coach Mays from South Charleston an interview for this job. I think that he would do a wonderful job and get the program back to where it needs to be.
