Re: Oak Hill Invitational
I guess I stirred up a real hornet's nest didn't I? I didn't mean to hurt anyone's feelings. I have been in the pits at many meets and as D5 pointed out it has been frustrating. They did in fact have the boys run 9 laps in the 3200 run (this was because an official went to the restroom and no one to...

Re: Oak Hill Invitational
I just hope Coach Ruby tells the finish line to time places not lanes like they did in the Invite. Also they need an official who can count to 8 in the 3200 run. They did not have anyone with that skill on Friday night.

Re: Ironton Invitational
From what I have seen so far, the District Meet should be a real dog fight between: Fairland, Ironton, Piketon, Portsmouth and Wheelersburg.
I haven't seen Gallia Academy, Meigs or Athens yet.

Re: S.O.C.
If I understand what you are saying, you were only one point from 1st place in SOC Division I, is that correct? I talked to Coach and he looked up last years results in the book. South Webster won that division with 64 points, Notre Dame was tied for second with Sciotoville at 29 points. It should b...

Wheelersburg's Max Conley also won the Jr. High Boys race in 11:30, and the Burg won the Jr. High Boys team title as well. Almost a clean sweep. Congratulations Burg runners, all that hard work paid off.

We will all miss Ed, the Wheelersburg CC and Track Teams always enjoyed being around him. He loved the kids, all the kids, not just the ones on his teams.

Re: Southeast District Heat / Flight Assignments Are Up
Don't blame the people at Oak Hill. They just supply some of the help along with the facility. The blame should rest on the meet manager. The same person that was meet manager when the meet was at Fairland and Ironton.

Re: Quitting A Sport
Wheelersburg has a rule, that if you make a team and compete or on the team after the first competition, you are not allowed to quit and go to another sport. Example, if you quit football you cannot go to open gym for basketball until football is over.

Re: Oak Hill Invitational
They did not announce the final scores after the meet, only runner-up and champion in each division. I think I have the team scores for the boys but, am not sure of the division each team is in: Wheelersburg 140.5, S. Webster 73.5, Northwest 64.8, Jackson 63.8, Waverly 60, Vinton Co. 38, West 33, Ri...

Re: Burg Track Meet 4-8-08
Yes, there were 9 or 10 teams and everybody was abled to run with no limit on entries. Which I think is a great thing. Wheelersburg has no or little lighting so the 4X400 was run in the dark. So. Webster's girls broke their school record in the 4x800.
