Re: Would SOC allow Portsmouth and Ironton......???
Any new line up would have to be by size of school. Teams have good years & bad. And Northwest is one of the biggest schools in the SOC. If you re-aline based on how they are doing, eventually a big school that didn't do well but now is doing good would dominate in a small school division. As fa...

Re: Would SOC allow Portsmouth and Ironton......???
I heard a rumor why PHS will never be allowed in the SOC. At one time, a current SOC school wanted to join a league that contained the larger city schools, i.e. Porstmouth, Ironton, Ashland, KY etc. They were told no rural school will be allowed in. So now that the tables are turned & PHS has lo...

SOC Previews
Anyone know when & where the boys SOC previews are this year? Girl previews are at Wheelersburg on Nov. 21, so boys should be this Friday? Is Northwest hosting them?

Histories of Leagues/Conference
I like to read about the formation of the various Leagues & Conferences in southern ohio. The SOC history is very well done on some of the high school sites. What about the other conferences? Like Southern Hills, Scioto Valley and so forth. Also past members in your conferences.

Fan of more then 1 team?
Just curious how many people have their home team but go to other teams games also?. As for me, My number one team is Webster and always will be. I also like to go to my adopted Minford team's games. I suppose I rank most of the SOC schools & will pick up a game if there no conflict with Webster...

Music in the gyms
Now that basketball seasons just around the corner. I'd like everyones opinion on music before the games. Last year I noticed many fans at a Webster game asking for the music to be turned down. Also I felt Minford's was to loud at a game I attended there. And when Webster girls played tournaments at...

Re: Transfers
Actually there on 140 Webster, Burg, Minford & Portsmouth connect. East no loger technically has a district. So a kid that lives in PHS disctrict has to enroll at Sciotoville Community School or ride the bus all the way downtown to PHS.

Re: South webster going down hill
I also think the team began to improve towards the end of the season, but time ran out. It took some time for the coach to adjust as well as the kids. It's just a cycle, all the schools go through. Be patient, Webster will do better next season. I would like to add, The SOC schools are some of the b...

Re: Do officials call girls games different than boys?!?
I've noticed in boys games when a player lands on thier behind, it's instantly called traveling. But in the girls games most of time they can throw the ball to another player. I don't know if it's sliding or what in that instance that makes it traveling.

What if...SOC Division III
I see there is some shake up taking place in the SEOAL. Zanesville is leaving. Athens is out, I think. Also some talk of Ironton leaving. So.....what if a new division III (league) could be formed from the SEOAL South members: Portsmouth, Ironton, Jackson, Chillicothe, Bring Wheelersburg, Waverly an...

SE Division 4 top teams
Who are the best Division 4 teams in the Southeast District? Please do not list every school's record, just the best team. For example Southern Ohio Conference would be New Boston (SOC#1) and South Webster (SOC#2). Maybe list the second best also. But let's keep this simple.
