Re: Waverly at Clay 1-24-11

Most of the foul shots were in the last few minutes of the game, but all the other fouls called previously in the first three quarters were not. The first half of the game the refs were not calling the fouls both ways. But, Waverly did have missed opportunities and that does fall on them. Waverly di...

Re: Waverly at Clay 1-24-11

Clay did a good job boxing out the Tigers and rebounding under the boards. Waverly's Diener and Fisher did a good job rebounding and putting the ball back up for points. Waverly's JV has really been improving and winning some tough games. They have gelled well as a team with everyone contributing. B...

Re: Waverly at Clay 1-24-11

Clay did have some help from the refs. When you look at the scoreboard and the home team has 0 fouls and the visitor has 5 it does appear to be a little off. After saying that, the Tigers did have missed opportunities to score. They do need to play better team ball and make more passes rather than c...

Re: Waverly

Good effort Waverly. I believe they will get better as the season goes on. There are a few girls from the JV team that has played club ball. The Wiget girl that was point guard did not play last year, but has played I think two years previously. There are a few JV girls that have potential in the fu...

Re: #5 Waverly @ #1 Marietta

Marietta played a very good game against Waverly. Their midfield was strong and physical. Waverly kept up with them on the first half and the goal was not offsides. It was a very well placed pass by #21(Bevens) to #16(Wiget) who was given the opportunity to use his speed and out run Marietta's defen...

Re: Minford @ Waverly Oct. 5, 2010

Waverly's entire team stepped it up. The offense, especially Roseberry and Wiget, played well together on passing and shooting, Collins fought hard in the midfield and the defense played smart. They will have a good shot in tournaments if they stick together as a team.

Re: Minford @ Waverly Oct. 5, 2010

2-1 in favor of Waverly, even with the recent struggle to finish. To finish is more than just a player problem but the way or method of play by all players. The way a team plays generates the quality of finishing. During shots on goal, it is much easier to have a successful finish if there is a one-...

Re: SOC Scores and Standings

Waverly tries to pass through the middle too much. Other teams seem to use the long ball and speed to score. Waverly does not. Valley used this to their advantage. Tigers keep on shooting. You will start to connect. Hang in there! Good game by Valley. They showed a lot of hussle.

Re: Webster @ Waverly

South Webster was definitely the more aggressive team tonight. Their defense possessed a great deal of football skills. Disappointed in some of the sportsmanship that was portrayed out on the field. I do wish the referees had been a little more consistent on their calls. Waverly needs to try utilizi...

Re: Waverly at Wheelersburg

I observed several other players who definitely contributed to this game. #16 (Wiget) moved the ball around very well along with speed and hussle and #11 (Collins) showed determination in the midfield and defense. Also #25 (Remy) stayed very aggressive on Lewis.
