Re: Pre-Season Top 10
I wouldn't count out Athens. I know they lost some kids to graduation but coaching counts for a whole lot at the high school level. They will be decent because of Talent. If they had good coaching they would have been in Columbus atleast once in the past two years. Coaching and or lack there of has...

This should apply to the private schools as well but i am sure it doesn't.tigerfan88 wrote:Just moving in district was the old rule, but now in order to not sit out 11 you have to give a good reason on why you had to move to the new school district when the parents have a conference with OHSAA.

Re: Public 3 Private 1(No crying from the private side)
Some may argue that winning breeds winning. And that people who want to win will send there kids to schools that win. I still think that is unfair to the other teams bit it is what it is. I don't think that dynastys happen without some help from recruiting. I know in southern ohio we saw the oakhil...

Has a parent I must say that I am shocked at how tight the shorts are that are worn by players. Are kids allowed to dress this way at school ?

I like this rule. Now if they would just limit the innings in softball like baseball all would be good.mglight88 wrote:Saw on OHSAA for softball and baseball next year that conference teams will be playing home/away back to back. This will be a major change. Any thoughts?

Re: Ohio hasn't had a private school state champion in softb
Hey I'm with newyorkcatholic fan all the way. It's nice to see the public schools get a shot! So we shouldn't whine about being at state. Also, just to be safe NCF, you should probably go to confession after stirring up the hornet nest on here... Or at least say 5 hail Marys. As I have stated befor...

Re: Boys D4 District outlook/breakdown
Well, once again Ironton St. Joseph got screwed over in the tournament seeding. Please explain to me how we can beat all those SOC teams and they are still seeded higher? We have only lost to one DIV team all year (and IMO we could have won that one). We beat Notre Dame, romped Clay, and beat 2 DII...

Re: Public 3 Private 1(No crying from the private side)
Why would they cry???? They just won 25% of the titles with only 18% of the schools.
I can only begin to imagine a 10 or 20 year count on the percentage privates have won.
