Re: South Gallia 2011

7-on-7s or what I like to call them, Passing Scrimmages, are not indicative of what would happen if the two teams played. The quarterbacks are not rushed and can basically sit in the pocket all day. Line play, both offensive and defensive, is totally eliminated from the equation. I did not attend th...

Re: Budget Cuts

I dont know if football really returns a profit. how much is spent on paying for coaches? How much is used to pay for equipment? How much is used to pay for the referees? How much is used to pay for turning on the lights at the stadium? how much is spent on transportation? et. cetera, et cetera, et ...

Re: Budget Cuts

I doubt football as a whole will be cut because there are usually only six trips a year (five away games and one away scrimmage at the varsity level), where the majority of wrestling meets and golf matches are on the road, and football does bring in some money; however, I could see a reduction in th...

Re: Levies

I believe that, with the high gases prices, there will be an increase in the number of schools that institute a pay to participate policy. $100 per sport sounds like a lot of money to pay, but that $100 comes nowhere near the cost for transportation to and from the athletic competitions. It sucks, b...

Re: River Valley Coach Resigns -- for real?

Raiderball-I am sure that a lot of people would be surprised at some of the offers some of the former coaches have turned down over the years for sure. But we will leave it at that because none of that is important. I hope RV is able to get the program turned around. The new stadium and field house...

Re: How Bout them...

Hey, I wasn't around when Cleveland was winning championships, but I'll give the devil his due; Cleveland's titles are still titles - regardless if they were 'Super Bowl Champions' or not. A title is a title. Nobody was giving Pittsburgh a chance against the Ravens or the Jets. Now, they are underdo...
