When the talent and experience levels are down a little, it makes you feel good as a coach when you can see the kids grow both on the court/field and off the court/field as young men.

I think Karl is serious. Most coaches encourage their basketball players to work on their shots in the off-season; so following that line of thought, I bet college football coaches feel the same way.

It is hard to give an exact number. SG has an activity period where the majority of the kids are lifting (during school) , so those kids aren't seen at the stereotypical after-school weightlifting.
