I also like the first b/c at also accounts for a nose shaded to play side. the FSG would come down on the nose and the center can check play side (in case of a slant by the wild man at nose) to BSLB. As for having both rules... I guess it depends on what kind of kids you have. If you have bright kid...

How to block the inside veer versus a traditonal 5-2 defense

I have seen people block it two different ways:

1. Double team the nose with the FSG and chip off to BSLB and have FST inside release to block the FSLB

2. Base block with FSG on FSLB and inside release with FST to second level.

Thoughts on which one is better?

Anybody who would doubt WHAT Mike Jenkins knows as a basketball coach obviously hasn't had the opportunity to just stand around and talk basketball with the man. I played for good coaches (one who ended up coaching collegiately for several years) and I pick up lots of interesting things about basket...

I wasn't suggesting him coming back to replace Donnie. Donnie has done well, just having a not so great year.

As for the 16 ppg by Swain, Unroe, Poling and Brace. I believe it! I watched them play. Those guys were a team. Their play was totally different than anything you see nowadays. Not a single one of them was a standout. They were very unselfish and played well together. They fed off each others' stren...

Jed Rawlins!!!

All I could remember was some BIIIIIG guy from Oak Hill. Thanks for the reminder.

Stout from NG was a good player, no doubt, but Tackett made things happen at the point.

Some nominations from the late 80s: Andy Baer -- Southern (all-around guard) Chad Leach -- Kyger Creek (shooter, played at Kentucky Christian, I think) Chris Tackett -- North Gallia (point guard, great passer and scorer) I remember Amburgey from baseball more than basketball. That 90+ MPHfastball wa...

People are jerks... They could either 1) if they liked Snyder, be happy he found such a high-profile job to advance himself or 2) if they didn't like him, just be happy he is gone and accept his departure thankfully. Instead they want to take anonymous shots at the guy. He makes a convenient target ...
