I don't think there are very many school coaches involved because of the rule about only two kids from one school per team, and the no contact periods and all that. At least in this area.

AAU does prepare a player for school ball. It does not prepare a coach for school ball. An AAU coach has more freedom in who gets what amount of playing time, a school coach does not. An AAU coach has 10 or 12 kids that are very skilled, and each one is usually the "star" of their high sch...
