Re: Local Wrestler to compete for starting spot
Good Luck Thomas!! Talk about a well respected name in Southeastern Ohio sports. Thomas' dad Sean was a fine high school wrestler and football player and his grandfather Coach McLaughlin was the father of the Nelsonville-York wrestling program in addition to being the defensive coordinator of N-Y's ...

Congratulations Coach. Wrestled quite a few matches against his guys back in the 80's. He always put a tough team on the mat.

Re: Nelsonville-York (7-2, 4-0) vs Athens (8-1, 4-0)
Well I guess my board name should show who I support. And it has been quiet from NY Fans on this subject. I'm Too old for the childish trash talk that goes on from some folks so let me call it like I seen it. I thought NY did a pretty good job and had their chances to keep it close or even pull off ...

Re: Congrats NY 7th & 8th grade football finishing 8-0
What a season. Just got to look at the pic that Leslie took of the 7th grade boys after the game. How can you not love this group of kids? Buckeye Mom, I hate to correct any of your scores but the Logan game was 24-0.(Still a great job of compiling the stats thank you!) I also felt that both coaches...

Hat's off to Colt and Lucas. That's good stuff!! As a parent of a 7th grader we love to watch our young men and women participate, this embodies what school athletics are all about!

Hey Bulldog Coach, hats off to the Athens 7th graders. They came out inspired and ready to play. I have to admit they gave our boys all they wanted that first half.

Re: Minford 8th grade football
Junior high football is the most hyped up play of football. Kids develop at different rates. In Junior High if you have a guy who is shaving already and running the football, he is going to be faster and stronger and will probably dominate the game. Why anybody puts stock in junior high football is...

Re: Minford 8th grade football
It sounds like both Minford and Wheelersburg has had great seasons. I'd like to see NY play either team. I think it would be a great test for all involved.

Re: Ny 7th grade 6-0
Yep Next Tuesday at Athens I believe that game starts at 6:00 pm. Last game is a double header I believe with the 7th grade playing at 5:00 pm and the 8th to follow. Admittedly this post is a little biased towards the 7th grade but the 8th grade is undefeated as well. The 8th grade travels to VC on ...

Ny 7th grade 6-0
Nelsonville York's 7th grade football team continues to roll with a 48-0 win over Vinton County. They continue to play tough defense and have a very balanced offensive attack. 2 more games to go. Congratulations guys!!

Re: GREAT JOB N.Y.
Freshman playing with 8th graders??? That can't happen, we have taken 8th graders who don't play much down to play with the 7th graders but bringing freshman down?? Plus with this team no need to bring them down we have about 20 players so more than enough. Which game was this? I've Been to every 7...

Re: Belpre at Trimble
Cats seem to be hitting on all cylinders. They need to make sure they don't have a break down before the Fed Hock game. If they play to their potential Trimble should have another run at the playoffs this year.
