Re: Jackson Basketball

Jackson has always done a good job at bringing in outside coaches in all sports, but they do a good job at running them off also. It will always be this way in Jackson, There is to many back scratchers and good old clickish buddy clubs. 0-23 for the next 6 years and wouldnt look for alternatives, w...

Re: Jackson Basketball

the current state of jax basketball is because of meddling parents and people with grudges. the community of jax has to look no further than the hairdresser and her brother. they ran off a great coach and it didnt bother him, he is coachin at rio. shame on you jax and what you done to your kids. Re: Alexander at Meigs Dec 14

04, don't let this jerk rattle your chain. Coach Kight works his butt off and demands the same from his kids. We all appreciate his work ethic and most all the coaches in the area. I appreciate your comments and I'm sure Coach does too. But he is gonna keep doing things his way if you or I complimen...

Re: Non football schools have a disadvantage?

It won't bode well for the football team TD. Those are some pretty good athletes. lol This is one of those topics that go either as Coach Lisath says. There are pros and cons to both sides. As for me, I like to see kids play all sports. You are only young once and unless you are part of a very small...

Re: Non football schools have a disadvantage?

I disagree. I have been around both programs, football and non-football schools. Most schools that don't have football, basketball is the number one sport. Summer open gyms have a lot more participation and you don't have kids that are making the decision if they want to play both sports or coaches ...

Re: Jackson Coach Heath McKinniss Resigns

Mr. Kight has always been loyal to the school and the program. He will give his best effort and will have the kids and schools best interest in mind. It will be interesting to see with more time available next year, since they gave him the traditional 1 year contract, if they take applications and i...

Re: Jackson Coach Heath McKinniss Resigns

I'm not sure if I can post or not.......it seems my last post got kicked off!! Especially when I questioned the awesome community support. I still have a hard time seeing the community support here. It seems the community was the reason we have lost these good coaches since the weak administration w...

Re: Jackson Coach Heath McKinniss Resigns

I am deeply saddened that Coach McKinniss had resigned. I have had the pleasure to meet several coaches throughout the area and had the honor to call some of them, "Friend;" with that being said, there is NO nicer, NO more compassionate, and NO more giving coach in the area than Coach McK...

Re: Jackson Coach Heath McKinniss Resigns

I have two words that seem appropriate. BIG LOSS! Heath worked his butt off and even though I think the cubbard is pretty empty the next year or so, he fought to keep the job and try to build something. This place has been such a revolving door for basketball coaches it's embarassing!! The decission...

No it was probably the pressure that would come with coaching at such a "High Profile" school.

Re: dante jackson?

5 years. And if you are referring to that being a down side I kind of agree. Everyone wants to have a coach that will be there the next 20 years. But I would still take the chance. What he might bring to the table may influence the program for several years after he's gone.

Re: Waverly Coaching situation???

I'm not disputing the talent that has run through Chillicothe and I thoroughly enjoy watching them play. The athleticism has been exciting to watch. I just have a problem with the use of you calling it a "Higher Profile" school. As I said before, it takes just as much work, thought, time a...

Re: Waverly Coaching situation???

Crab, before anyone (not just you) draws conclusions based on how things appear from the outside, they should talk to the man himself. Some folks have posted on other threads bashing Travis and saying some of the same things you have just said. No, Waverly will not have a Jake Kretzer next year but...
