Re: dante jackson?
If I were on a school board or an athletic director, I would gamble on Dante. I would use the example of the success Dustin Ford had at Jackson as my amunition. Young inexperienced but motivated, knowledgeable and has D1 experience that will bring 3 things that are invaluable in coaching. He will be...

Re: manchester@eastern pike d-4 regional semi final
StreetJerk is an idiot!! I watched a hard fought game by both teams. I thought Fitch had a great game plan. Used the zone to attempt to slow the Hounds down, and he was trying to keep his boys under control while MHS was trying to speed them up. The Eagles had several turnovers and quick shots when ...

Re: manchester@eastern pike d-4 regional semi final
How far are you going back that Manchester played primarily SOC schools? I don't think that is accurate.

McMaster can't handle McKinley. McMaster is not as athletic in the long haul. Great player, just out muscled. McMaster to Rio, McKinley should go to UC. Portsmouth by 9 What? UC?? Are you kidding? At his size he is a guard at UC and no way does he have the handles or shooting skills to play D1! OK ...

I was kind of wondering why we play in the Southeast District being so far Northwest?

Re: manchester@eastern pike d-4 regional semi final
As far as the Manchester/South Webster reference, I don't think either team played to the top of they're potential. South Webster had way too many turn overs and Manchester had been shooting lights out from the 3 ball coming into that game and didn't shoot the 3 ball very well. I will give both team...

Re: Southern (18-3) Vs. Manchester (13-8) @Convo 3/6
Southern is a well coached team and a talented team that had a bad night last night. Manchester appears to be peaking at the right time. Starting to hit shots from the outside which lets Gaffen do his thing in the middle. When you have two or three shooters hitting the 3 ball like that, they will be...

I'm going with the Warriors on this one. Warren will be very physical and dominate the boards.

Re: Southern (18-3) Vs. Manchester (13-8) @Convo
Gonna go with Coach Caldwell in this one. He's been here many times before and has a really nice ball club. I think it will be close though, especially if Manchester shoots the 3 ball well. Which they are very capable of. Should be a really, really good game!!

Re: Manchester vs. Fairfield Feb.28th
That was the first I have seen Manchester play this year. They are a nice team with some talent. They shoot the ball well and have a nice post player. But that being said, I wasn't impressed with the defense allowing Faifield to get to the rim way too much, and have never seen a team have so little ...

Re: Are they clearing the gyms
I'm just saying it's not a schools decisions. It's SE District Tournament boards decision. The make the call and the hosting schools must abide.

Re: Tournaments at Jackson
Parking in Jackson is $2.00. And the ALL the sectionals are clearing the gym for the championship games. It's not a schools decision, it's the SE District's decision.

Re: Jackson @ Logan
I'm not saying any of this was intentional. And I agree, most coaches and administration would have just gone with it since it had no league implecations and tournament draws were complete. I do believe it was a complete accident. The JV officials had no clue nor did Lightfoot. I do know that if the...

Re: Jackson @ Logan
Really never? 1200+ games and never in the SHL? Sorry, but while your on Lightfoots jock, I beg to differ. You must have some sort of lover affair to know how many games an official has done. Hell I know officials that have officiated for years and couldn't even estimate how many games they have don...

Re: Jackson @ Logan
Phil Lightfoot, can't call a game with two other varsity officials. No way should he be allowed to call with two JV officials. I've seen him twice this year, and was talking to a good friend of mine who is an AD in the SHL. He said in no way possible will Lightfoot step back in his gymnasium while h...
