They need a running back/linebacker Tobias........Maybe you can get into shape by next spring.......Whip that 40 something year old body back into what it once was and show those young whipper-snappers a thing about 80's football........ ![Mr. Green ](./images/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif)

Re: Random thoughts on Logan fans who post here
Logan school district draws from the entire county? What is the population of the county? Being from Scioto Co I could imagine a powerhouse of a program if you combine Burg, Ports, West, Minford, Valley, etc. Same goes for Lawrence County..............Logan should never have a down year, period........

Would also like to see a Portsmouth-Minford series again. These games sparked a great interest a few years ago and the scrimmage this year brought back the same interest from both programs.

Re: Power Poll After Week 2 from T_FB_A
Would love to see how SOCII teams would matchup against SEOAL South other than Portsmouth. Burg did play Ironton and Waverly played Jackson. Does Waverly play Chillicothe this year? Would like to see West play more SEOAL teams. It would make for a tougher non-conference schedule but it would garner ...

Re: Week 3 Wheelersburg @ Portsmouth
Speed, Speed Speed on both sides of the ball on both squads. Don't underestimate Portsmouth's defense.
They put forth a great effort in slowing down West in 1st half. Pendleton shined in 2nd half but defense showed up when they needed to. Should be another great matchup in Coliseum.

Re: Week 2 1-0 West at 1-0 Portsmouth
Looking forward to a battle tomorrow night. Portsmouth kids are focused. West could possibly be questioning their abilities after lackluster performance against Fairland. No doubt the effort and emotion from West will show, but will the confidence in their game be evident as it was last year?

Re: Portsmouth Notre Dame @ Greenup County, 9/4 @ 7:30PM
I have personally seen ND play and have watched some film of GC. The Titans can hang with Greenup. I predict an enormous effort will be put forth and this will counter Greenup's size advantage. If ND can sustain some drives and keep the ball and the clock running (complete high percentage of passes)...

I am no Ironton fan. I just did not appreciate the quote about the seoal being embarrassing. I mentioned Northwest because they struggle yearly and are traditionally at the bottom of the SOC.

4.) When you stop chasing butterflies, try to kick the ball again.
My 4 year old girl is usually singing and dancing in between play..........If you can get them to concentrate on the game for most of it, job well done. Other than that, allow them to run and have fun.

Re: Ironton and the OKAC ?????
The OKAC was very competitive in all sports even though the majority of the crowns stayed in Ohio. In football, Boyd was strong and Greenup competed at times. Ashland and Russell were always a handful. I recall a couple of heartbreakers for Portsmouth in 1987. At Russell we fumbled inside their 5. W...
