Re: North Adams vs Portsmouth
"I would guess thats the closest this North Adams team has come to losing this year." Close, Unger hit a buzzer-beating 3 against Chesapeake when N.A. was down 1 or 2 pts. earlier in the season at the Convo. They also went to OT against Eastern Brown after an opposing player threw in a 3 a...

Re: North Adams v. Paint Valley (Sectional Championship)
Congrats! Sounded like a heck of a dogfight and PV pretty much locked down Beasley from the floor but she got hers from the line. A police escort after a sectional championship?? That might be a first! haha It's good the team got to cut down the nets at the h.s. afterwards though, that's prob. somet...

I've not seen a Bennington on the floor for SSU at any of the games I've been to. Maybe he's redshirting?

Nice win girls! Any word on who got ejected and who the technical(s) was issued to? Sounded like a heated game!

Re: Peebles @ Fairfield
Didn't mean to bring his sisters into this conversation at all other than to question if he attended their tourney game the next day at Peebles, you know, one of the schools mentioned in this thread title. I was just saying that as hot as it got at the game and as hot as some of the Peebles faithful...

Sorry! Just wondering if he came to his younger sister's game at Peebles the next day and if he felt like he was the centerpiece of conversation among the Peebles faithful. I could see where that might make for an awkward situation.

Re: Vinton Co. vs. Piketon 2/14 @ OU-Chilli Shoemaker Center
so your saying to have class as a player, you cant get excited or show some emotion. so i take it your kids never showed emotion or got jacked up because of a nice play. i doubt that, if vc would of won there would be no talk about piketon showing no class.since vc lost there is nothing better for ...

Hmm, I wonder if there was a big purple elephant in the gym or did somebody approach him about the previous night's game. That may have been an awkward situation, maybe not though!

Re: Vinton Co. vs. Piketon 2/14 @ OU-Chilli Shoemaker Center
In regards to the question of Piketon playing classy, I saw #2 bobbing his head all the way down the floor after most of his made shots and #42 was making some kind of odd howling noise after each "awesome" play he accounted for. Looked like #11 for Piketon and mohawk from VC got into a li...

Re: Peebles Talent
Last year they played the toughest schedule in the state of KY. They played a stacked Lex. Cath team, Scott Co., Clark Co., Bryan Station, etc. plus a few teams in the top 25 of the COUNTRY! while in Hawaii. I'd say that gives them some street cred. In the tourney they did have some blowouts. I thin...

Re: Peebles Talent
Good question Sparky,
In my opinion he's very similar to Middleton. In regards to points, I believe his 22 or 23 pts. in the SHL would equate to about 15 at MC...they'd be a whole lot tougher points too!

Re: Peebles Talent
If we're talking strictly exposure than Mason Co. is one of the top schools in the whole state of KY, winning the state championship last year and having a few big-time D1 recruits come through in the past several years. Year after year they're ranked highly in the state and play in a strong region,...

Re: Who are the best underclassmen in the shl???
hoopin, in my opinion it was an overall lack of exposure that kept him from going to the Division I level. Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think he played AAU basketball which as been stated is where a lot of players are spotted. He also broke onto the state scene his senior season after many s...

Re: Peebles Talent
Playing at a school such as Mason Co. has many benefits, especially if you're hoping to play at the next level. Seeing their strength of schedule and getting opportunities to play all over the state, as well as Tenn. and Fla (Hawaii last year) would get you a lot more exposure than just playing in t...

Bevo,
I was referring to the make-up game, not your daughter's non-conference schedule.
