Re: Greatest Multi-Sport Athlete to come out of the S.E.O.A.

Katie would make a great choice. I also wanted to mention some older folks such as Todd Snyder and Dick Adams of Athens, Chuck Kemper at Logan, Tommy Spencer of Gallia Academy, Roger Estep of Wellston, and Roger Hyden at Jackson. Someone help me on this one (especially the folks from Meigs): was it ...

Re: Infield fly rule

The interesting thing about the infield fly rule is that its true purpose is to protect baserunners. If it were not for this purpose, there would be no need for the rule. The rule is not to penalize the batter in any way. If the umpire does not make the call in a timely manner (soon enough to warn t...

Re: Tom Metters in need of prayers

Coach, thank you for the information! I wish you would pass along to Tom that I am praying for him and he is certainly in our thoughts. Tom is one of the dearest friends to high school sports in southeastern Ohio and has been for years. He was the athletes' best friend even back when you and I playe...

Re: Randy Dillinger - Taking a Seat

Randy has done 2500 games? It looks like he will eventually learn to keep the score book right! Randy is not only a fine example of dedicated service in an individual toward his/her school, but he is also a great person. He is a great friend (I say that because his mom makes great hard-tack candy!) ...

Re: Athens at Wellston

What an interesting post....I saw the first game with Hannan and Wellston and every player on Wellston's team (15 strong) scored that night, and one of the leading scorers for Wellston was a freshman that mostly plays JV. Coach D substituted freely and often in that game. As for Athens "ducking...

Re: Prayers needed in Wellston

The outpouring of support and prayers truly transcends school district boundaries and for that matter state boundaries. The Vikings not only showed their wonderful support with their generosity Friday, but also have another event (a bingo benefit sponsored by their FCCLA group at school) upcoming in...
