Re: Matewan ethics
Here you are talking about the ethics of West Virginia’s Matewan High School football team and trying to justify the 18 to 6 butt woopin they gave you this year was all the officials fault. I heard how bad the officials were, but you’ve got to play real good and win big when you go out of the st...

Re: WK 2 Rosecrans @ (1-0) Notre Dame
Notre Dame by far. More talent player for player and MCKinght has put together the best coaching staff that has ever been at ND. Rosecrans cant stop Bowman and MCKinghts offense.

Re: All-Southeast District softball?
The All-District list was in Thursday PDT. I noticed that 2 of the Clay players made 1st team and 1 made 2nd team. My question is how does coach Ruby explain this to her players and parents. She told them no one made it because the other soc coaches would not vote for the clay players. This even got...

Re: Tournament scores/games
Look at all of these un-expected scores.
Symmes Valley 4 Eastern Meigs 0
Notre Dame 1 Manchester 0
Chesapeake 3 Portsmouth 2
Green 1 Miller 0
All of these games should have ended in 5 innings in a 10 run rule.

Re: Southeast District Division IV Standings
In response to those of you who have deamed the quote unquote "clay clan with shady demeanors" maybe you should try to actually meet a few face to face and then spout off your comments. I'm sure once you look at the amount of character some of these players have obtained through serving t...

Re: SOC Scores and Standings
They say don't judge a book by its cover. And they are right. I watched Notre Dame warmup and they were flat as a pancake, Eastern seen to be ready to play. ND pitcher seemed to be down and off her game but sent the first batters to the pine and the ND bats started slammen, man those girls can hit. ...

Re: SOC Scores and Standings
Wow, what a game. Clay 5 Notre Dame 2. Pitchers went at it all night. I think both had aroung 9 or 10 Ks. Nd had one bad inning that cost them the game.
Ump had a wide zone, but was consistant for both teams.

Notre Dame was up 3-0 , I was told the 3 hitter hit a 3 run dinger to lead Greenup Co 3-0 after 1 inning.
Both of these reports were secondhand. MD
Amherst Steele beat Russell 11-4
Keller hit the 3-run-homer. the game ended ND 4 GC 0

Re: SOC scrimmages?
I will agree that the peake had a much better game than ND and they are a great team that will kick but this year. But ND had number 2 pitcher in, Number 1 pitcher and cather on the bench most of the game and all the infield positions had someone new in them. It look like they were testing the water...

This is a great idea!! If we don't take advantage of this opportunity, then shame on us, the parents and coaches. Sounds like it is organized, we just need to put a team together and play. If you were going to have a junior league team, this would be a good way to get a jump on the competition. 17 t...
