Re: MINFORD 08-09
That is what makes her a good point guard on her way to being a great point guard, she can hit all the shots, and yet she still involves her teammates. Great point guards do not need to have the offense ran for them, it runs through them and they take over when there team needs it, colleges would ra...

Re: MINFORD 08-09
Great job girls at Wilmington, you know if a older player asks a younger player "what are you doing here?", that is not a sign of problems, it is just a question, and yes that player may feel threaten for her/his position, but they go out and play harder, if they are ball players. Also, I ...

Re: will anyone compete with south webster in soc this year ?
I do believe it will be a battle, the teams with depth and overall team talent will prevail, and the girl that is transferring to burg', well 15 and 10 is good numbers if she was playing at a bigger school, and a very talented team. College coaches like those type of players and if some of the teams...

Re: socII PLAYER OF THE YEAR?
Boy the way some people are talking we may as well just not have a SOC II season, give SW the crown and the state trophy. Like digger said, the season is a long way off, and the season is a long one. Burg is still around, Minford is going to be alot better and did not lose by much to SW, so don't cr...

Re: will anyone compete with south webster in soc this year ?
The one thing you all forget is that Minford has a different coach this year, with probably a different scheme. Also, Kendra Justice is looking touch during AAU, she has a year under her belt, and the Minford team is working hard just as all the other teams, it is a new year, and it is hard to repea...

Re: SOCII
I've heard that the new coach at Minford has the ladies responding well, and the one player that I have seen play this summer, Kendra Justice, during AAU was pretty tough, she was very impressive. So I believe that the Lady Falcons are one of those team that will have a great year coming up and give...

Re: GIRLS: SOC Girls Basketball
The Minford 7th Grade girls played great at the SSU JV Shootout!! They finished with a record of 4-4, and they are a true 7th grade team, and to finish with 4 wins, that is remarkable, these girls are definitely a team to watch out for...Go Lady Falcons

Re: AAU/GBA Tournaments and results
Thanks Bucknut, you are right , Soutern Ohio has long been overlooked for girls basketball and qualifying for the nationals is a way to help put us on the map, and our girls are getting the recognition they deserve, keep it up ladies from all of Southern/Southeastern Ohio....Go Lady Magic!!!!!

Re: shawnee state shootout
During the JV Shootout, the Minford 7th Grade team finished 4-4, those girls played hard and for being a true 7th grade team a 4-4 record shows that they are a team to look forward too!! Great job Lady Falcons!!!!!!

Re: AAU Changes
Eaglesnest, if you look at the good teams they do not promote individualism, the Thunder teams moves the ball really well, SOMAGIC Justice team moves the ball really and plays as a team, as well as SOMAGIC Pennington, but the coaches stress the team concept. And if coach doesn't win and have the kid...

Re: AAU Changes
I agree that at a young age you do not need to really push the kids like some people do, but we are talking about high school, by this time kids are more serious about the sports, and if your kids dream is to go to college or beyond, then he/she will need AAU or some sort of club ball experience. We...

Re: AAU Changes
Well I don't think that is a fair rule, what about the kids don't play spring sports? And in today's highly competitive athletics you have to play AAU or some sort of club ball if your child is going to make it. My wife coached high school volleyball and coaches from colleges always asked if her gir...

Re: Best Girls Player in the area?
Your right bogo, I did not intentionally misdirect this forum, sorry. The girls on this team are tough to play. The all very aggressive and play some hard nose man to man. This team as they progress through the years will show that you take a couple of excellent girls and they get the mind set to pl...
