Re: WK 7 Portsmouth @ Warren
This was the first time that Warren has beaten Meigs since we started scheduling them approx. 4 years ago. I don't think that would keep Warren out of the TVC. Maybe Warren should have taken a dive for the upcoming years? Warren barely beat Belpre. Belpre was crushed by Nelsonville and Wellston. On ...

Re: WK 7 Portsmouth @ Warren
As far as being negative, I think WWF was toing that line with his/her comment about Warren people only posting following a loss. I only see what I see. some agree and some don't. But life isn't about teddy bears and hugs. You can't always sugar-coat everything. Sometimes there are "negatives&q...

I guess we can't all be as positive as WWF all the time.

Re: WK 6 Meigs @ Warren
I could accept Monday off, but today? I would of had a 30-45 min walk through with shorts and hats at least! Show up tomorrow to possibly have dinner together before the game (around 5pm). Then slooooowly get dressed to play.

Re: WK 6 Meigs @ Warren
Swami, I agree with your logic to an extent. Offensively, football is a game of packages. I guess you could say the same for defense. I, too, prefer to run the ball more often than throwing it. Three things happen when you throw the ball, and two of them are bad. Heck, if a team could win a game buy...

Re: WK 6 Meigs @ Warren
I don't completely disagree with you. The kids have been playing their guts out. I don't question that, but that is also my point. Break tendancies periodically order for the boys to be rewarded for their efforts on offense. The defense then has a less of an uphill battle. I'm not saying that they s...

Re: WK 6 Meigs @ Warren
The sad truth of the matter is that "warriiorfan" is right on the money. There is no need to scout Warren. My question is "Are the coaches too lazy to add to their schemes on offense, are they working together, are the kids unable to learn more than what they've learned, are the coach...

Re: Week Four: Warren (2-1) at Marietta (0-3)
Rain shouldn't be too much of an issue on field turf. If those two boys have been out for 4-6 weeks, I can't image them being too significant. They'll not be in their best shape and their game timing will be off.

Re: Week Four: Warren (2-1) at Marietta (0-3)
The best down to throw the ball is on first down. If Warren is able to get its running game going, play action will also be an option. Warren needs multiple sets. Formations and plays become too predictable as the game progresses. On defense, Marietta will use motion to predict the coverage. Disguis...

Re: Week Four: Warren (2-1) at Marietta (0-3)
I have no idea what Marietta looks like, but Warren did a good job of controlling the ball. If the other team doesn't get the ball, it's tougher to score. I really don't have a clue of who to pick.
I kept looking for a counter play Friday night. A counter with Dunfee was just itching to be called.

Re: WK3 (1-0) Parkersburg South WV @ (1-1) Warren
You can't justify the fact that Marietta over-scheduled themselves by mocking Warren's two wins compared to none. I would be concerned that the Marietta boys are beginning to play "not to lose". I have no idea if Warren is better than Marietta, but I do know that Warren won two close games...

Re: WK3 (1-0) Parkersburg South WV @ (1-1) Warren
Great intensity. Great "in your face", "grit your teeth" football. That's what football is about. It's about knocking people down, not helping them up. Enjoy this one, but will need to continue "kicking up a notch" as the season progresses into the SEOAL part of the sch...

Re: Warren Fresh. (2-0) defeat Gallia Fresh. Score 12-8
If I'm not mistaken, Warren's frosh are 2-0. Also, the 7/8 won big against a Wood Co. jr hi (48-0). I think the jr hi has pitched two consecutive shut outs.

Re: WK 1 Belpre @ Warren
Warren needs to add another dimension to their offense by utilizing Venham and Cox more often. The slants where there all night. There was a huge mismatch in height between Venham/Cox and Belpre's corners. Venham's main asset is his YAC stats. A quick hitch and he can run over or around a smaller co...
